Author Topic: Does anyone have any experience with this Alu Gravel frame from Qi-Long?  (Read 229 times)

Planning a budget gravel/road bike build but new/used frames locally are for extortionists prices so aliexpress is my only option.
The frame: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007390101835.html
Carbon frames are out of the question unless it drops to 145€ or under during the 11.11 sale.
Thanks in advance.

Only being sold in 2 small sizes.  Price is great, but shipping is more expensive than the frame.

If you have access to frame measurement and alignment tools, to be sure that you can confirm that the Bottom bracket tube is welded in correctly, the head tube is not welded at an angle, and the rear triangle is aligned, then I would say go for it!

For me the shipping is around 20€ which i can tolerate. If the frame is a bit miss aligned then my lbs can fix it for super cheap.

For less than $200 shipped I wouldn't expect a whole lot, but if its rideable its not a bad deal.
If you were in the US I would recommend the ozark trail gravel bike as its hard to beat value.

Considering that locally the cheapest gravel frameset that offers the same features is starting at 710€ and even then its a steel frame with a carbon fork, wish i was joking. The cheapest usable gravel i could buy is the Triban 100/120RC but the S and M size is sold out everywhere.
