I just read through this full thread and this is about 80% the frame I'm going to order. I dont want an SL8 clone bc the geometry is just too aggressive for me, I think. The R01 and R06 are nearly the same geo as SSE and thats what I really wanted. I think the R06 in size 56(L) having a slightly longer TT fits the bill bc I am 188cm with a 91.4cm inseam, so my torso is a bit shorter. I will be pairing it with the new SRAM Force E1 group with 160mm cranks (i have hip impingement issues). Ive been borrowing a buddies 160mm 105 cranks for my other bike and have loved them for my hips. I can also get very aero and NOT rock my hips during higher power.
I've sent @PeterXu a message regarding paint and pricing but maybe you all can help me with a few questions...
Does the bar turning radius have a stop point before frame contact?
Does Peter offer marble effect paint jobs?
Is there a crash replacement warranty?
What parts did you immediately replace for an upgrade from the stock parts?
Thanks for answering and reading!
I have the R01 and there is no turning stop point. Where the bar meets the frame I put a double layer of bar tape.
I asked about warranty as his gravel bike has a VERY good one and he told me that it was only on workmanship for this frame as it was a "light weight" frame - being said, I ordered my frame with no paint and it looked very nice. I also ran a boroscope through the inside and everything looked tidy.
Not sure what you mean about replacing parts, this is a frame and fork - not sure what you would upgrade.
As for paint I painted mine in my shop. Turned out good enough but may re-do next winter. For instance, I didn't like the large text on the down tube.
