Soooo, after a week with a bit of mountain (500km/8500m), the frame is nice !

But I still have problems with the Seatpost. Tantan says that they haven't had any issues with it for now. But I asked a fully build bike to be assembled (thing they haven't done yet) and that they do slaps on the saddle to see if it's not the same problem.

Until now I tried :
- 3 different Carbon paste,
- no paste,
- 12 Nm (Tantan says 8-10Nm)
- Grease the clamp so it doesn't get stuck
- alloy can
- big alloy can
- different kinds of plastics to glue on
- Sand paper
- light loctite for friction.

Nothing works.

I'm now trying a combination between can and tape. Everyday I try new things.

The Seatpost have a good amount of play when inserted, I've send Tantan videos and photos.

Handlebars are HB047 that I also use on my gravel, just with a longer stem and narrower

It has the rough part only on the front where the clamp wedge is in contact with.

Next try is going to glue some more on the whole surface all around when I receive my new epoxy batch

I think that's the problem.. The clamp should push back the seatpost and grip the frame..


This, for example, is the seatpost of the x38. I added a little carbon paste and tightened the clamp to 5nm.

Did you grease the bolt? Had a slipping seatpost on my TT-X34 and nothing helped either. Finally tried a little bit of carbon paste on the bolt and ta da, the seatpost stayed in place ever since.

You could try applying a varnish + a few grains of sandpaper on the seatpost (only on the part that will be inside the frame); in France, at ACTION stores, you can find an “anti-slip” varnish with grains in it. It’s meant for floors, but it should work!

Can you share a photo of where the "Aeroplug" attaches? Is there a visible hole there because of it?

He can also use one or two coats of clear varnish.. it might be enough to make some thickness and friction..

I'm looking at getting this frame myself, outside of the seat post issues, would you say it's a good buy? I'm in between this and an SP-R088...
I like the design of the TT-X67, Ostro like but not a direct clone...

Also, is the T47 inboard or outboard?

Tried greasing it, carbon paste, loctite mid and low.

Please grease my bolt.

I'll try to just thicken the frame with one more layer of carbon (0,25mm). For now, a long piece of can taped to the frame plus a lot of small grain carbon paste did the trick. But I'll have to remove the Seatpost to go back home.
The seat clamp seems ok, it's greased so it doesn't get stucked by friction.

Tantan answered ; they'll send a new seatclamp just in case and a new derailleur hanger that is going less to the right. Should solve the issue.

I'll do some pics of the holes, I taped them with black electrical tape.

After nearly two weeks of riding, I really like it ! Seems a bit flexy in the rear end when I'm static and just push on the crank. But feels stiff and nimble while riding it. Reached 92km/h in a downhill while completely feeling safe about it.

'fuck the set stay junction is too complicated and expensive  to replicate lets stick a hunk of metal on there that kind of looks the same' 

I actually like it...... dumb that they made it out of metal but if I got this I'd just 3D print something new and light.

Helium's paint make this bike look like a budget Argon18.

I would probably do the same as yourself and remove the aero "plug"/fairing entirely... Your legs will cover most of the airflow anyway, as far as my uneducated brain knows
