For those who already received the frame, how long did it take to arrive after shipping?
My tracking currently says "Awaiting a connecting flight."
Does that mean it's almost here?

My frame was obviously shipped the same day as yours, but connecting flights were not necessary. Interestingly, I did not see any update on the status until the day of delivery.

Am I the only one that has a hard time screwing the rear thru axle in and out? I did torque the udh to specs. I can the the threaded portion of the axle become shinier everytime I take it on and off.

Hi, does anybody know the length of the bolts needed to install Sram brake calipers (front and rear)?

Edit: I already figured 15mm front and 32mm rear.

I also encountered a problem. When I unscrewed the through axle, my udh hanger started to spin in the same direction, because the through axle was jammed in the udh due to the short thread and because the through axle itself was too long. I scratched the frame a little in the process

I'm sure you guys greased your axle and threads right? Also I always gently insert it until I feel the threads bite. I never force the axle into the threads. Also I feel like new frames when they arrive sometimes need to "flex" into place. Eventually the axle spacing settles at the right width.

Of course I greased the through axle threads

Just clicked purchase on this frame. Did anyone specify saddle rail clamp type, round or oval, on checkout? Or if anyone knows what type of saddle rail clamp they ship the frame with? Looking to get the Ryet 3d printed saddle for this build

I am using this exact frame with the carbon ryet 3d and it fits perfectly. I think this style clamp works for 7 and 9 mm rails.

Hi there,

I have finished my build. This is my second china frame after a Carbonda CFR696 whoch I build up in 2021 (my project againt COVID depression). Since i am us9ng it mostly on paved roads I wanted something more „racy“. Intried some bikes at the local bike stores and found out that the perfect bike for me is a Tarmac SL8. But, with all the features I would like to have they charge a whopping 9k€  Germany.

Today I did a quick technical testride. My observations:

- while building up I had a problem to install the front calipers. The 15mm screws were to long (at least I could not get them into place). I endee up using shorter screws and I hope tha works
- Riding experience is very fine so far. Much better accelerating than my gravel bike, like I espected. Although a sporty geometry the bike feels very comfortable. I do not know if this is due to a lack of stiffness and the frame is just flexing. But, so farbit feels nice. Keeping the speed above 30 kph ismuch easier than on the gravel hike (with the same wheels and tires).

- last point, and this is a real problem: the bolt pf the seatpost clamp kept loosening again and again and the seatpost went down. I did not have a torque wrench with me and therefore I was scared to tighten it too much. At the end of the ride I went all the way down and the seat post was stuck in the seat tube. It took some effort to get it out again. Do you have an idea whatbI could do to tighten the seatpost clampmso that it will never come loose again? Any advice is highly appreciated!

Nice build!

Just to verify, you're using carbon paste on the seat post? My R088 seat post clamp definitely says 6.2nm. Though 5nm seems adequate on my frameset. I don't have any seat post slipping issues. If it still keeps happening maybe a thin strip of tape on the rear flat section of the seat post should keep it from moving. Good luck!

Yes, I used carbon paste. Since my clamp says nothing I asked David last week and he said 6-8 nm. 8 seemed a bit much t me since the Specialized clamp also says 6.2 NM. I will try the tape idea. But, the bolt of the clamp was always loose, maybe the clamp itself is the problem? Would it make sense to apply something like anti seize paste or even loctite to the bolt of the clamp?

Hi, since I will also be mounting Force AXS brakes (etap), can I ask you what size of screws you used?
Thanks

Yeah, just use some loctite... Should fix your problem.

Usually the room is just for 13,5mm so you need to use 12mm bolt
