I’m trying to identify some noises and rattles.
Front end sounds quite clunky over rough roads, but preload is wound up (using cane creek expander), no noticeable play in headset. Maybe hoses in handlebars? My first time using fully integrated bars, I didn’t think to put foam over the hoses, too late I guess unless there’s something else I could do? I did put foam tubing on hose in frame. There’s some rattle from lever buttons which is also annoying but I can hold those and still get the other clunkiness!
Then on the backend, the 12s ultegra drivetrain is really noisy, almost like it’s not indexed right, but as far as I can tell it is, shifts lovely. Limits are set right and at no point is the chain rubbing fd. I’ve set b limit according to guide but also tried it closer and further from cassette. It’s in all gears. Also switched from udh-dm hanger to normal hanger.
That’s especially frustrating as I have same group set on my other bike and it’s much quieter.
All I can think is the hanger is misaligned or bent. The carbon in the dropout certainly is rough.
Shame because otherwise it’s lovely and smooth! Anyone else had issues like this?
