Rail freight is probably only an option for Europe.

To the real topic, received my wheelset today, ordered 9th November.
SR228 hubs, Pillar 1420 and TAR30s was quoted for 1200g±30g.
They haven't been able to pass that part of the spec. the wheelset came in at 1120g.
 Absolutely great looking, absolutely true. I'm really happy and excited to get them on the road in the following weeks

That’s fair. I just assumed it was “fly into an ups main hub and then put it on a train” vs “fly to your closest ups hub” given it was a commented around a Black Friday sale.

Like buses everything I have ordered is coming in at the same time!
Had the WhatsApp this morning – my 60/60mm set is finally ready!
Started this process back on 17th October. Me being me, I wanted to go off-spec: UD Gloss rims + silver hubs.
Was told matte rims were in stock and ready to ship in 7 days, but gloss would take 2–3 weeks. Okay, I waited… eventually got photos, but they weren’t UD gloss as requested – just gloss. Personally, not really bothered. Sh*t happens, and it’s only a set of wheels at the end of the day.
Some back and forth with Wendy (fantastic comms btw), but if I wanted UD gloss it would mean another couple of weeks. Couldn’t be arsed – not a deal breaker – so I went matte UD.
Originally, when the wheels were ordered, the website claimed 1280g, but I can’t remember if it was me or someone else who pointed out that if you added the specified weights, the wheels were actually closer to 1320g, which was in line with what people were posting. Had a look today and the page has now been updated to 1310g.
At the time, I asked if they had any lighter spokes since the standard ones are bladed carbon and steel. They said they had 2.9mm carbon/titanium spokes at 2.1g including nipples, and the upgrade was only $30 USD, so I went for it. Estimated weight was then 1284g, in line with the original claim.
I was a bit unsure how these spokes would look on the 60s, but from the photos they look fine – and the wheels came in at 1287.5g.

Delivery shouldn’t take long as UK-based purchasers, I believe, have been receiving wheels in about 7 days.
Would be good to get some updated posts from people on their wheels to see how they’re getting on.
I’ll inevitably post when they land – not sure if I’ll get out on them before Christmas or not as I’ve got a lot on!

60mm Serenade wheels finally arrived yesterday! They actually got into the UK last week, but I was away on holiday, so just got my hands on them now.

Communication was great with Wendy even after the initial comms mix up but handled well, no big deal!
Initial impressions out of the box: the wheels look great—very clean and tidy. Came with spare spokes and rim tape, which is always nice. They look exactly as expected after reading everyone else’s reviews.

They came with decals, but I’ve removed them—probably saved around 4.5g in the process.

Weather pending hopefully get out on them Saturday!

I have just received my shipment 278 hubs with asymmetrical 21mm internal rims (planning on running 28c). I know the rims are UD unpainted raw which will show more blemish from production but just wondering what people think of these? Normal? They look visually bad but they are smooth.

People as this all the time and I wish the wheel brands when they sell this UD Raw Paintless finish would explain to buyer this is the nature of the finish.
The blemishes you’re seeing are typical for UD unpainted raw carbon. It’s the natural outcome of the manufacturing process, not a defect. As long as the surface is smooth it’s normal.

I understand there should be blemishes just that the first picture looks like delamination but it is actually smooth so couldn't tell if that is normal to a UD paintless. Other "imperfection" I see on the rim I understand it is due to the paintless effect.

Here is my initial pictures and feedback. Took advantaged of the 11-11 promo so this is the odd ball that I've ordered

• TRF50SE (No Logo) (21mm internal asymmetrical - 2.5mm offset), 50mm deep
• UD Matte Paintless,
• Hub: SR278C Spoke
• Carbon Spoke
• Freehub: Shimano HG

Package got deliver just before Christmas. There were some communications issues like it is being built but took another 2-3 wheels before it got shipped after saying it is being built. Shipping they said was through UPS but I got a China Post tracking number instead. Surprisingly once the shipment started to move it really started to move quickly. Landed in Canada without any duty.

Kit comes with tubless valves (80mm), 2 spare spoke, and rim take (26mm for 21mm internal?). Some initial measurements:

• 21mm internal: measured closer around 21.6mm or maybe slightly larger
• 29mm external: measured close to 29.5mm and slightly narrower closer to the bead
• Weight: Front 528g, Rear 637g, Total: 1166g (lighter than expected)

Initial quality,

• Some blemish from the UD paintless but it also looks like their mould might not be perfectly clean when laying the rims up.
• Pad printing on the hub (see pictures), are definitely not aligned and the model of the hub is chopped off at the bottom
• Trueness: mostly true but there are some spots of slightly out of true
• Grease: may be a little light on the grease, I didn't see any o-rings on the end caps so might need to put some more grease for better durability
