Hi,

1) Yes, the frame is UDH, so it should be compatible with the SRAM direct mount groupset a.k.a. the 13 speed XPLR groupsets.
You can use this groupset with 2 sets of wireless SRAM blips.
But for the KMC chain, make sure you get a flat top chain (KMC has flat top chains, the X-flat or XSL-Flat) because the 13spd cassette is only compatible with flat top chains.

2) As far as I can tell from the ICAN website, and Triexpress' photos. Yes you should be able to use any 22m extension but you should think well about the length of the extensions. From the photos, it doesn't look like you are able to push the end through the baseplate completly, so you are more limited in the length adjustment of the extension (or you need to cut them at the base plate to your desired lenght). But maybe Triexpress can confirm this.

Hi Aradell and Serge_K,
thanks for your answers!

About the 1x13 setup, the only cassette currently available has 10-11-12-13-15-17-19-21-24-28-32-38-46 teeth
I was thinking of a 50t chainring with the 10-46 cassette. I of course want to run the cassette in den middle, so let's say 13-21 teeth.

 At a cadence of 90/min, I would run 30.6 km/h on 50/21 and 44.8 km/h on 50/13. At the extremes, 50/46 would result in 12.6 km/h and 50/10 in 58.2 km/h.

Therefore I thought this might be a good choice. However, I have done all my triathlons on a regular 2 x 11speed road bike so far, so I have zero experience with triathlon bikes and indeed the jumps, especially form 13 to 15 might be too high. So any advice is highly appreciated!

By the way: Does anyone have a contact to ICAN? I tried to get a quote via their homepage, but no answer so far.

Try melody@icanbikes.com. I had some emails backwards and forwards today, though they don't seem to respond to my question when i ask if/what custom painting they offer.

as an FYI, I've been quoted 950USD for frame, fork, seatpost, headset, hanger, handlebar, stem in UD matte and 187 USD to ship to the UK

Hey everyone,
I am interested to buy the TT017 frame. I was in contact with sherry from ICAN in Feb 25, and got the typical offer.
Now Sherry declines me to sell a frame to Germany, as that „Stevens“ is the official retailer of the frame.
She also refused me, to get any contact information of them.
Does anybody had the same problems, that I got?

Some sellers sign geographic exclusivity deals. It's common with Workswell. Also, never buy from them.
Ship to a friend in France, Poland or something like that, and voila :)

Try living in Brazil... Most sellers won't ship here... Ican being one of them, I quoted the TT017 frame, got the price, but when it advanced to shipping options, they denied shipping here.

Some new additions.

Storage box. This is the first design that fits but needs a better lid

Very nice one! I can recommend using a hinge and pin mechanism instead of clipping the lid. I probably lost a good 5 lids in the past year on my TT bike until I changed the design

For the Ican owners? How do you compare the sizing of the frame with the TT119/VB023 frameset? I have 51cm TT119. Will the Ican be a S compared to that?

edit: order placed. Convert my TT119 setup towards this one. Keep you posted here...

Where are you shipping to? I just got a quote from them for $229 to US and they said 'included customs tax". Hoping that really would cover everything and I wouldn't be hit with more once it gets here.

Still have to decided which frame I want to go with. I think I've narrowed it down to the Ican TT017 and VeloBuild TT023. These two just look the best, despite the Winow119 having the best cockpit. I think I can live with a slightly inferior cockpit (and upgrade in the future) to get the better looking stem interface and a monoriser.

At this point what would be the deciding factor between those two for you ?

Europe. 150USD included tax. This is normal for China transfer towards Europe. In the past no issues or extra costs involved.

I’m in the same boat, trying to decide between these two. I have it narrowed down to weight being the deciding factor, now that I have seen that the FastTT/Winow style bars can be adapted to either.

Finding frame weights is difficult, though.

@mattgolt I read that you didn’t weigh your frameset before building, but would you mind sharing the weight of your bike now that it’s fully built up?

I got weights from Ican, “ Frame 1440g,fork 450g, handlebar and stem 790g, seatpost 260g (52cm)”

Velobuild “Frame Medium 1450g ,fork 420g ,seat post 255g ,stem 225g”
