The groupset seems readily available, pricing is awesome ($425 including DDP shipping to USA), but the thinner UDH hanger, 14-speed cassette and chain are not currently available. Does anyone have insight as to when that might change?

No idea on timeline. But the biggest selling factor to me is that it doesn't really matter.

Take Shimano for example. They have 12s right now. But there are pictures of 13s. When will it come? How long do I have to wait? Should I buy 12s now or wait to get 13s?

But with Sentyeh, you can just buy it now and use whatever you want. When the 14s stuff comes out you just need a cassette and chain, you don't have to replace the entire group like you would with SRAM or Shimano. There's no more worrying about waiting for the next group because you can run whatever cassette you want.

I am very interested in this groupset, primarily for the opportunity to test out 14spd. The prices seem very good right now. To my knowledge, they have not released 14spd cassettes on the market yet.  I imagine in a few months they'll start to become available.

I already have Rival XPLR on my main bike and have really enjoyed 13spd for road. I am planning another build soon and will probably use ECS since the prices are pretty good right now.  It would also give me an opportunity to do a side by side comparison of XPLR vs ECS.

FWIW, I was just quoted 510.00USD for the complete groupset (cranks, chainring, chain, 13spd cassette), which in my opinion is pretty good.  I know the cranks are heavy but to get a complete group at that price without individually sourcing each part is a time saver.

Where did you get that quotation for the whole groupset? In my country the full whaleroad groupset (including the 14s cassette) with carbon crankset costs about 1300€. Not appealing at all given we are in the price range of a force xplr; indeed the latter does not support 14s, but at the moment the whaleroad has too many unknowns: performance, durability, and cost of the spares.

I fully agree with you. However, not everyone is willing or able to do the magic you did to the hanger to install a sram cassette. I don't know whether the company should have warned buyers about this, all I know is they advertise the groupset as compatible with 13s, kind of bold statement. Am I wrong?

What/who is Anrancee? A dealer/store? Could not find any info by doing a google search. If I understand correctly, going 1x with that groupset means you will be not able to install more than a 36T sprocket, isn't that too limited from a 1x configuration?
