Hey there! I am farni I am new here.
I already built a gravel bike from the LCG074-D and I loved the process.
I am now planning my endurance build and am currently hesitant about the sizing. I already gathered from this thread that many of you ignored the LC height/size recommandations and often sized one up.
My problem/question:
I followed the LC recommendation on the gravel frame with a 550 and it worked out fine. I could get a good fit and stack and reach are pretty much equal to what I was used to before from my current endurance bike.
On this one, my 183cm height and 87cm inseam suggests me 540. But when comparing my current geo with the one from the LCR018, I get good agreement with 580 - 2 sizes larger! Also in size recomandations from western bike brands I consistently land in the lower 58er range.
My current reasoning: I trust the stack/reach numbers I am confortable with right now, take the 580 and adjust with a slightly shorter stem if needed. I am only a bit afraid that it may just be too huge. What do you think?
