My frame was delivered today. I'll order the remaining parts for my bike somewhere in the coming weeks. It's too cold to build up my frame in the shed anyway.

It looks great Can you describe the process for getting custom graphics from LC?

Why not get the titanium one LC offers? Sure it's a little spoon like with no computer. Once you put a computer on, it looks fine. Note, I am just holding it up to the bars, nothing is mounted.

Because I'd like them in black 😬 Also, if someone could sandblast and anodize them, I'd prefer the original LightCarbon 😄

radrick_91: that bell looks good, it does not look like super complicated system, but unfortunately I can´t help you with that. I would have to have one bell in my hands to measure it, there are no dimensions or diagrams publicly available as far as I can see.

Thanks, of course I can. Pretty simple: use a vecor based program like Adobe or use opensource like Inkscape. Ask for the paint design file

Design your logo's, Scale them to the size tyou want by placing them on the shope of the frame which is used to design the paint scheme. Change the complete design into paths and export as PDF and send to LC.

They'll do the rest.

Hot tip: Request QC photos prior to shipping. I was notified that my frame was shipped to me and had to ask for QC photos, which were supplied promptly but without any ability to address issues since the frame was already on its way to me. In my case, they didn't match the requested paint job to the specifications we discussed quite thoroughly over email and was on the painting diagram re: angles of paint lines. See below forks.

Along with an apology and an offer for $20 USD off a future order, I was told by Wendy that: "Indeed some customers required photos before shipping when place the order, but some didn't. Because you did not make that requirement, so I didn't send."

I had assumed that QC photos would precede shipping, but such is life.

Following up on this, LightCarbon is refusing to take responsibility saying I needed to request QC photos prior to shipment. I would like to take a poll for those who have had their frames shipped to understand if this was truly my mistake or Wendy's.

If your frame has been shipped, could you take a moment to fill out this quick survey? https://forms.gle/Ks7sdXNwURkiijsT8

Thank you! :)

Watching closely, Jim Lee. Is LC's reputation worth less than the cost of a fork?

You couldn't have stressed the importance of getting the angles of the stripes right any more. Especially because it a custom paint job and not one of their existing templates, it should be an internal requirement to send QC photos. Disappointing to see if this doesn't get resolved.

What strikes me as particularly odd is that the only additional cost to LC if they replace the fork, is the shipping cost for the fork. If they'd sent QC photos and the customer flagged the problem after it was painted, they were going to have to eat the cost of the fork and paint another one, anyway. This refusal is the refusal to pay shipping on one small box. It makes no sense.

How much was that paint job if you don’t mind?  It is killer for sure.

Thank you! It was 200$ for the 2 color paintjob - a  custom variation of TY-018 Marble Red along with Gloss Black, and 35$ for the custom decals.

Ypu can sent those but a PDF will do. Color matching is not necessary is also done by LC. Pretty straightforward.

Thanks. I'd probably send a .pdf showing scale and placement, and then vector graphics for the actual files. I'd also provide specific colors and dimensions for the logos.
