Ordered 12/1 and just asked Jim for an update, and he said all of their workers went on break and won't be back until mid-March so I'm guessing my bike won't be delivered until April.

Looks like paid invoices from November and December 2025 will cause a long delay, chinese new year and they prioritized LAMBDA bulk orders.

Hey guys, I already looked through page 90-92 with the discussion about the headset spacer and gap problem. I now installed the headset with the 0.7 mm spacer and tested everything with the compression plug and the correct tightened ahead cap. I still got a massive gap especially on front part of the bike that is not getting smaller by tightening the ahead cap. What would you advise me? Attach pictures are without handlebar installed, but the gap stays the same regardless. Thank you all for the help

It’s a spacer.
Measure the gap. If it’s over 0.7mm remove the spacer. If it’s less, leave it in.

I’m not sure why so many people are getting confused by this. Obviously you don’t want the are to rub, but conversely, no need to add a spacer to create a huge gap.

Hello. How long did you have to wait to receive your frame? I mean only the shipping time from the factory, not the time from ordering. It was shipped a week ago with a DE shipping postfix [which isn’t working yet], so I’m curious when I’ll be able to build my bike. Thank you

Trust your instincts.
I honestly don’t know why some builds need the spacer and some don’t.
There could be a difference due to paint thickness, or small variations in the bearing seat.

If it rubs, add the spacer. If it doesn’t rub, just leave it out 👍🏼



I’ve built various winspace bikes for people and some need a fine spacer and others don’t.
This situation isn’t unique to the 18-D so don’t be concerned about the quality or robustness.

Exactly what POTOOOOOOOO said. I tried both ways, and ended up using the spacer, but the interference was marginal. It must be the variation on paint film thickness that varies from one bike to the next.

Having said that, the gap on yours doesn't look too bad in the picture.

My first bike build too, so a learning curve for us both!

No, you need 35mm for SRAM brakes too. 32mm is too short! I used these: https://a.aliexpress.com/_EIdRM9Q

This is why I believe this is frame specific bolts.. I had 32mm bolts on my Canyon I thought I could borrow, but they did not reach through the hole..

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for their estimated shipping times. I was quoted 30-45 days and am over 70 days.

Last week I asked if it would be finished before Chinese New Year and was told it is in paint but may not be done and shipped before they take their break.

Hello. How long did you have to wait to receive your frame?

Maybe some useful data points for anyone ordering to Germany, but note that lead times can change.

• 21.10.2025 — Ordered/paid → was told delivery would be 20.12.2025
• 03.12.2025 — Got informed that frame will take longer (ETA after Christmas) as laser silver logo will take longer (only after asking)
• 30.12.2025 — Received pictures (only after asking although I had requested this)
• 08.01.2026 — Frame was shipped (found out later)
• 12.01.2026 — Received photos (only after asking)
• 19.01.2026 — Received DHL tracking number (only after asking)
• 23.01.2026 — (until) Tracking showed “shipping info received” / label created
• 26.01.2026 — Frame arrived

So in short:
98 days in total from order to receiving.
18 days from shipment to delivery (08.01 → 26.01).

I must say that I am still impressed with the customer service. You just have to be aware that you might have to ask about everything yourself. However, they respond quickly, comprehensively, and always politely!

For Shimano brakes is the chainstay thickness 35mm or do I need 35mm bolts? I got a second hand groupset and it didn't come with the bolts to mount the brakes. Thanks

Could the difference be how deeply the top bearing seats? Not all bearings of the same ID and OD have the same depth (or bevel angle).

Jim sent me a reply, and he clarified that he expects painting to be completed mid-March which is a little bit better. He offered an extra free hanger as compensation, not really sure that's needed considering I already ordered some extra hangers but oh well. Would have rather had an upgrade to like ceramic bearings.
