i'm similar height with slightly shorter legs 84cm inseam.  with riding shorter (165mm) cranks, i have raised my saddle a bit and with my decreased flexibility with age have gone from 100mm to 90mm stems on my current road bike.  these are te reasons i was looking for an endurance geo bike like the LCR018.  i ordered a 90x400 bar.  haven't gotten it yet, but i'm hopeful it will work out.  apparently the bar has some rise built in as well, which should help you out and minimize spacers.

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some geometry advice on the LightCarbon LCR018 frameset as I have quite extreme body proportions and I’m struggling to pick the right size and stem length for my build. My current bike is a size 61, which was a result of some bad advice from a friend, and it's definitely way too big for me.

My height is 182 cm with a 92 cm inseam, which means I have very long legs relative to my height. I am also recovering from ACL surgery, so I need a stable setup that is not too punishing on the knee while remaining fast.

Looking at the geometry chart for the LCR018-D, size 540 has a reach of 383 mm and a stack of 569 mm, whereas size 560 offers a reach of 389 mm and a stack of 586.8 mm. My main concern is that with a 92 cm inseam, my saddle height will be very high and on a size 540, the saddle-to-handlebar drop would be massive. I am leaning towards the size 560 to benefit from the extra 17.8 mm of stack height, but I am worried about the 389 mm reach being too long for my relatively short torso.

I am considering using a shorter stem, perhaps 90 mm or 100 mm from the available options, to compensate for the longer reach on the 560 frame and I wonder if anyone with similar 'all legs' proportions has experience with a shorter stem on this specific integrated cockpit.

Given that the LCR018 has a fully integrated cable routing system and a specific cockpit setup, would you suggest doing a professional bike fit before ordering the frame and handlebar, or is this geometry standard enough to adjust later? If anyone with a 90+ cm inseam has built this frame, I would love to hear what size and stem length you chose to avoid feeling too stretched out while keeping the front end high enough.

Thanks!

I'm 183 with 89cm inseam. So also long legs but a bit less extreme as you.
Ive chosen the 54 with 120mm stem and it's ok for me. Maybe a bit short. Ive got the bar completely slammed and don't feel the saddle to handlebar drop is aggressive at all.

I'm thinking that I could also make the 56 fit me well (maybe better) by choosing a non riser bar and 110mm stem.

That being said, I'm quite flexible and adaptable. I also have no clue what your riding style is and how flexible you are.

So bottom line, how I fit on the bike, with kind of similar proportions, is hard to compare because we could be comparing apples to oranges. A bikefit is always a good idea if you're unsure and don't have a decent baseline to go off.

Do you know how much the cost was for the selection of colour over the base option?

I’ve been quoted $250USD over and above what it would cost if it was supplied in plain black matte with no decal and wondering if this is the standard extra cost because it seems higher than what I thought it would be.

YS3293.  honestly i had googled ferrari red and it looked lighter and flatter than i wanted.  so i asked about a picking a darker, richer red similar to like the mazda miata soul red.  ended up with paint code YS3293.  but after finding this forum and seeing folks' posts of their light carbon ferrari red, it's actually pretty much what i wanted! :-). so i've reached back out to see if it's not too late to just get my bike in ferrari red.

no change in price.

i got a single quote of $950 for frame, bar, seatpost and custom paint $950.  i never asked for a quote for plain matte black.  this was 4/4/26 for context because perhaps prices have increased as demand and backlog has increased.  even as i changed the paint color, customized where i wanted the fade to clearcoated carbon, location of LC logo/decal, the price didn't change.  this is before shipping/paypal.

given i've seen quotes of $650 for the frameset when it was first released, $250 for custom paint doesn't seem far fetched...still a lot less than other manufacturers (ie. $600 for factor's prisma or $700 for trek's project one)

Just an update, was able to get my bike faced which resolved the brake rubbing issue. Can't complain too much for how nice the bike is!

@vietmunki thanks! These last days I've seen a bike somewhere on YT/IG that I imediately identified as a clone of my LCR018, without the "eagle eye"/whatever they call it thingys! I thought it was already copied by another carbon factory but this explains it and I guess we will start to see a lot more of these B2B models with other brands on the frame...

I like these frame versions even more compared to the consumer models!  :-[

Maybe a little optimistic but I hope the LCR020 seat post will fit the 018. I much prefer the clamping style pictured on that over the 018's seat post. Here is to hoping!

So whats the info regarding the LCR019-D?  Will this available for purchase at some point?

Geo looks to be identical to the LCR018.  As I'm contemplating the LCR018 currently, I'm wondering if I should hold out for the 019.

I've no idea. Definitely wasn't meant to be shared with me and is likely for B2B only. I just wanted to bring it up for conversation/transparency purposes. It looks like they're coming out with a lot of frames over the next year.

$699 for standard matt finish and no decals
$950 for painted and decals.

It is standard for certain paint schemes but there were a slew of different options and prices back when I asked. I paid $120 for 2 colors, matte black and glossy black. Best to ask LC for the latest prices.

This is what I’ve been quoted too. I asked what if I just wanted some decals added to the standard black matte option and was told then it would be $950usd as well.
I’ve seen some other members pay only the $120usd uplift for Ferrari red which is the colour I’m interested in. So it seems that LC have also recently increased the price for painted options whether it’s basic or special colours.

Another no cost option is the raw carbon frame with either matt or glossy finish.

Picked up my frame yesterday from DPD.
