I’m pretty much ready to place an order for my frame and just wanted to sense check my frame size choice. I’m 179cm tall with an in seam of 83cm. On most other manufacturers sizing guide I would choose a size M or 54cm and checking with the geo comparison site the M seems ok. However the sizing guide on LC website I fall into size 52 (s) albeit on the upper limit. So just wanted to check here that owners are happy with their sizes and maybe their guide is not accurate for selection.

If you have other bikes that you know fit you, go to a site like https://bikeinsights.com/ and compare them to the various sizes of LCR018-D. The nice thing about https://bikeinsights.com/ is that it gives you a scaled visual comparison which is very helpful. I ride an M Giant, a 54 Trek, and opted to get a 520 LCR018-D.

By any chance, do you know a frame which would have a similar Geometry compared to the LCR018-D please? (a popular brand like Canyon, Specialized, Giant... so i can try them in a shop)

I am 172cm with 85.8cm inseam and went with the 52 with 90mm stem based on my fitter's recommendation. We talked about the size 50 as well with a 100mm stem but the stack was going to be getting pretty low and I would need a lot of spacers. Your body proportions are going to dictate a lot if your an in betweener. I apparently have longer legs than what is typical for my height so I have to run the saddle higher which leads to more handlebar drop so I need more stack of the 52. People usually suggest sizing down when in doubt and adjusting from there but for me, it would be going the wrong way. Best thing to do other than a bike fit, in my opinion, is look up at least Stack and Reach of other bikes you've ridden and compare.

Also, if you do order, do keep in mind that they are still having delays with handlebars. I got an email early last week with pictures of my frame being complete and painted but was told yesterday that handlebars are still 3 weeks out from now. I only ordered it 3 weeks ago and I see people have had a lot longer delays so I can't complain.

I got quoted an extra $255 for a single pantone colour. Is this their current pricing ? At that price I'll either go for the boring UD option or choose another frame altogether. I don't mind paying extra for paint but $255 for a single colour is robbery. Other manufacturers like Mondince include basic painting in their cost.

I guess they wanted to simplify the calculation, becaus the information I got in January was a bit complicated

if add the logo, paint cost is USD$100
Custom painting is charged by color, USD$125/set with one pantone color or USD$145/set with one chameleon color or USD$189 with one crystal color. For each additional color, the cost increases by USD35. When the color changes suddenly, one more color will be counted.
Logo cost also according the colors, USD$35/color, one sheet of logo can use for 5-10 frames,

For my color schema with Deep Ocen Blue and glittering gold decals it was 215$, which fit in the above calculation, but its a bit weird (one pantone + one extra color + decals?).

From a commercial perspective I totally understand their price increase (full order books, growing customer base, developing new stuff continuously,..). The product seems worth it from my perspective, and there a lots of chinese carbon frames with much higher prices, so its still competitive.

I see from the photos here that most owners have the 0 offset seat post option (which LC also say is their default choice), what's the basis selecting this as I thought most bikes comes with an offset post for balance/weight distribution.  My understanding is 0 offset is if there are fitment issues but may compromise weight distribution (causing weight too forward).


Also, has anyone ordered and paid through Paypal gift (friend & family) option to save the 4.5%?  Aware there are risks associated with this if things go wrong, but LCs customer service response shown in this seems to be good so wondering if anyone has paid this route.

Thanks for the insight. It looks like they have significantly increased their painting prices. My quote of $255 was for up to 3 colours and when I clarified I only wanted a single colour they said it was the same price.

The set back affects the placement of your knees relative to the bottom bracket/crank axle. And also your distance to the handle bar. Talk to your bike fitter. And/or order both options. The price of an extra seat post is pretty modest.
