This morning I received an email with the track and trace code for my  V3 version of the storage door from Wendy. I almost lost the door 3 times caused by the lever sliding down due to vibrations. My frame is from december 2025

Don't you also need the other insert for V3 which is shown in this post??

I asked Joy for a picture of the new cover mechanism - I added it in attachment.

How has dealing with lightcarbon been to you guys? This isn't my first rodeo with direct chinese sellers but i'm getting a little frustrated. they tend to ignore half my questions and repeat themselves when i ask something else.

mine was really good until I actually bought the frame and wheels and is now patchy.

How many questions are you asking?
They are maybe getting fed up and just not answering.
Nearly every conceivable question has been asked in this very thread at least twice over, I’d be very surprised if you can’t find what you need here.
You say it’s not your first experience with dealing direct so you should know what to expect.
They have been helpful in terms of pre and post sale for me, more so than any Chinese factory I’ve tried before.

i asked several times for the detailed quote and i get grouped prices only. he's not fed up and my questions aren't out of the ordinary. he does reply, but to only half of my questions. the other dealers i've talked to weren't like that

Attempting to nail down details of a brand new and unreleased frames is frankly stupid.
I’m not surprised they’re ignoring questions until they’ve finalised building the fu€&ing thing

I assume that comes with the new door. It would be weird if they shipped a new door without the parts that need to be replaced.

it's not technical geo or manufacturing questions. these are fair questions any other seller would have easily replied. the person i'm dealing with just doesn't read half of what i say

Seatpost Clamp Replacement Screw....

Does anyone have a link they can share to a titanium replacement screw for the seatpost clamp?   
Mine seems to be very soft and I want to avoid stripping it.

Jim sent me this and i need to inform Chloe that this is what i need for me to fix the problem in my frame storage. Chloe sometimes takes several days to respond. Jim whatsApp is very responsive but he told me to coordinate it to the representative who catered my frame order process.

Negatives:
The saddle clamp system. Bloody hell, that was frustrating.
About 5 km in, I hit a bump and the saddle tilted. I was fully in race mode near the front of my age group, so stopping was not an option. I managed to force it back level using my weight and hand pressure, but it kept happening throughout the race. Probably 50 times or so. I had to constantly focus on sitting perfectly centered to avoid it tilting again. Very annoying.

Second issue: speed wobbles. When taking both hands off the bars at speed (maybe around 30 km/h, didn’t check), the front end wobbles pretty aggressively. Needed to grab the bars immediately to avoid what could have been a catastrophic wipeout 😅 Definitely sketchy. Edit: problem is gone. Possibly was caused by a crash earlier in the race, creating a bit of play/disbalance in the headset area.

Also noticed a rattling sound somewhere on the bike. I suspect the storage cover, but I’ll need to investigate. I like a quiet bike.
Edit: it was my multitool rattling around in the storage

I experienced this same issue with the saddle tilt on a recent ride. About 8 miles in, hit a bump, heard a creak from the saddle and thought I cracked a rail.  I did not, but the saddle was tilted and there was no using a multi-tool to get it unscrewed and put back in place correctly.  I was able to get it back to level enough by shifting my weight around as well, but it never stayed level.  All this moving around locked the screws in so tight, I stripped the heads trying to get them off.   That made for a fun time getting them out.  I had to resort to penetrating oil and lightly hammering in the hex wrench to get the screws loose.

I just pulled it all apart earlier this week, replaced the bolts with titanium M5x25mm hex head bolts and put it all back together again and torqued it to 8nm.   We shall see if it holds.

I'm still looking for any recommendation of a titanium seat post bolt if anyone has one that works for them.  The standard one has a soft head and I'm afraid it's going to get stripped.

Having said that, I do really enjoy riding the bike.  It's comfortable, relatively light, agile, and is responsive to accelerating.  Just a few small quirks to be worked out.

hi all - I'm looking at doing my first build from parts using this frame, but I'm a bit lost on wheelsets.

I want to be able to run 32-35mm tires which I believe means I want 24 or 25mm internal width. Also ideally under 750 AUD (~540 USD) if possible.

I think the best option I've found is these from Serenade coming in at 1350g and 740 AUD with the Sapim cx-ray spokes.

my frame is done and painted.  i got photos of not my actual door, but the door i will get, which is indeed version3.  the door lever is now closed in the down position and the modified insert on the frame side is different to accommodate the change - see photos attached tina shared with me.  consistent with the video posted earlier by oilegorpines.  great to see the company address this issue.

apparently 0 offset posts are a bit backlogged so my frame won't ship until those are produced next week.  but getting close!

Hopefully the new mechanism won't scratch the paint when it's used.
