Jim quoted me $125 for the titanium mount shipped to the US,so I will probably pass on that option.

I ordered the original titanium mount with my bike but did not end up using it. I am in Canada but willing to sell and ship my titanium mount if interested. Shoot me a message if you are interested. Should be way cheaper than ordering from LC.

I'm in the final stages of putting together my order from LightCarbon and wanted to get your opinion before I pull the trigger.

My old bike was a Bergamont Grandurance RD7 in size 58, which actually fit me quite well. However, it was more of a commuter bike rather than a proper endurance bike.

I've now decided to go with the LCR-018D in size 54. For the handlebar, I'm planning to use a 400 x 100 mm setup (400 mm handlebar width / 100 mm stem).

A bit about me:

Height: 180 cm
Inseam: 82 cm
Shoulder width: 40 cm

My old bike also had a 400 mm handlebar with a 100 mm stem, which felt quite comfortable for me.

Do you think this setup makes sense for my measurements and the LCR-018D in size 54? I'd really appreciate hearing another opinion before I place the order.

curious why you're thinking of going from a 58, which you say fits quite well, to 54?   assuming the geometries of the 2 bikes is quite different (commuter -> aero endurance road bike), dropping down so many sizes will only increase the change. 

is the goal to go from an upright commuter to a more racy bike?  are you ready to deal with the flexibility challenges or discomfort that comes with that change, or needing to run max spacers and potentially need a riser handlebar? 

otherwise, why not pick a size closer to your current size?  not trying to be critical per se, but not quite following the logic.

Cut my seat post today. Was required. I need around 71cm saddle height.

I have a size 52, and with a seat tube of 48cm, a 40cm seat post that can go in max 20  + 4-5cm from top to post to top of saddle the minimum seat height was 48+20+4.5 = 72.5cm.

Thus the seat post was at least 2-2.5cm too long for my 170mm cranks on a size 52. Cut 2.5cm so I have a little to work with.

My old too big bike inwas at around 71cm as well.

Yeah, I think you have a fair point. I was also very happy with how the 58 fit me, so going all the way down to a 54 could definitely introduce more changes than I initially considered, especially given the different geometry of the bike.

I am looking for a more sporty/racy position compared to my commuter, but I’m also aware that a 56 with a different geometry could already give me a significantly more aggressive position without necessarily going that small.

So I agree that I should probably look more closely at the 56 rather than assuming the smaller frame is automatically the better choice. I definitely don’t want to end up compensating with max spacers or a riser bar just to make a 54 fit.

Someone recently mentioned the through axles and that they are custom. Do you know whether I will be able to fit the Tailfin Universal Thru Axle? It works with different threads thanks to 2 parts. May there be anything stopping me from fitting it?

Take a closer look on the HBR17 vs the HBR14 handlebars.
HBR17 looks a bit  in real world. If HBR14 was standard, i guess no one would take the HBR17 voluntarily

Hi there,
What is the main difference between 02HS and 13HS?

Factory samples are inconsistent so it's really hard to decide. I've seen so many examples of these colours but without reference to each other it's also hard to evaluate what is what.

Maybe you've done better research or had experience with both? Please provide some tips and thoughts about those colours.

Hello I have a frame in the 02HS colorway its is a wine purple color in some lighting in other lighting it is almost copper orangish or so. I am not the best at description of colors, their is even a green tone to the chameleon shifting of the paint or so one of my family members said so I slightly see it in the right lighting.? Here are some photos of the bike in some different lighting. I am very happy with the 02HS color.

The issue could be that the axle won't fit perfectly, because it is flush on the non drive side (see picture on the upper right side). The spacer which is included with the tailfin axle could fit or you find another one that fits. My Ortlieb trough axle for the ortlieb quick rack did not fit for example.

I was asking myself the same question. I’m optimistic that one of the cone spacers included with Tailfin’s Universal Thru Axle will fit. But I won’t be able to answer that question definitively until the end of September, since my Tailfin order won’t be delivered before then.

And maybe someone could help with a 3d print. I am lacking the technical finesse to figure out how to make the correct measurements, but I know there are people out there to help . If I have an update on that, I will provide you with the files for the print.

Thank you! So, I'm gonna match 02HS with Chameleon 102HS (the one from Dawn Sunlight scheme) which is described as gray with golden sheen. I believe it should be pretty nice color combo!

I would probably still choose the HBR17. Looks sleeker and nicer than a standard looking HBR14.

Received the new storage door that locks in the down position. Package came with the new door, new metal lock plate and 4 rivets. Planning to install in the next day or two and will provide feedback. Initial impression, the new parts look good. The little nub to help lock the lever in place is nice although I imagine after a few uses, the black will rub off. It will be nice to use the bike and not have to check the lever ever 10-15 minutes.

Will be interested to hear how this goes Jensen - im on the v2, it hasn't budged since I put some medium loctite on there, but would rather upgrade to v3 to get things perfect. to save shipping I thought id wait to I purchase the LCR020, but funds are low so it'll be a bit of a wait!
