Just be cautious of toe overlap if you intend to use all of the tyre clearance.
Obv, crank length and cleat position will effect this, but bigger people on smaller frames can overlook this.

I am also surprised: I am 178cm and 83 inseam, and went for 54. The 54 match the stack/reach/top tube of the 54cm  from BMC and the S from Endurace from Canyon. 

Afterwards I went with a 380/100 stem and will slam my stem

Thank you.  Question for you then:  If you were to have used the shorter-reach handlebars that come with the frame, would you have fit a 56 well?   Or would there have been a problem somewhere else?

The latest update is that “theoretically” it will work with XPLR. They’ve modified UDH (so have Factor) so the new standard is already being changed to suit individual company needs. We might as well stick with regular hangars if that’s the case.

From the recent conversation there were two deal breakers. 1. max single ring size of 42 which is way too small for a road bike.
2. They say it “should” and “theoretically” work with XPLR. It’s all a bit too fluffy to commit to buying a Frameset and groupset to try for myself.

Ah well, gorgeous looking frame.

If the max is 55-42 for a 2x setup, shouldnt the max for a 1x be closer to 50-54? Unless you want a super narrow chainline.

I’d have thought so, but there are only so many times you can go back and ask the same question in different ways.
I’ve just given up trying the find out information.

I was keen to order a frame, but I’ll wait until they release proper information or someone has one in hand and can try it for themselves.

Can you describe how the in-frame storage is secured to the frame? I have a Longteng 301D which I absolutely love but the storage clasp on that frame is terribly designed and has fallen off several times at high speed. It’s enough for me to want to get a new frame. If the storage is well designed and secure, count me in!

I'm looking to purchase one of these frame however I'm a little unsure on the frame size. I currently have a 56cm frame from around 2017, did have a professional bike fit done and will do the same with this frame.. Looking at a similar bike like the Giant Defy, they recommend a large for theirs which is 54cm but... I am sure it comes out larger than that.. Currently with my bike I don't feel cramped as such but do feel I get some back and shoulder pain but I don't ride a lot so could be my general fitness. Super hard to decide what to do and get it right!

I am now also a bit concerned that XPLR 10-46 and 1x 48t aero chainring won't work?

Did anyone get their frame yet? I was wondering if it can fit 40mm almost-slick tires. It seems like the build on Eurobike had Wolfpack Gravel SuperSpeed TLR 40 tires which seem to be available only in 40mm size. Exactly what I need.
Jim? Also is this frame as strong as gravel ones?

Frame looks great - and the pricing is the icing on the cake.
I have a Cervélo Caledonia 5 frameset which I was going to build up - after seeing this frame, I have sold the Caledonia and ordered one of these with custom chameleon paint and still have enough left over to arrange a cycling trip to Majorca next year!
Crazy value for money, and what looks to be a superb all round frameset. Can't wait to get it built up - I'll only ever use it on the road, 30c tyres will be perfect. Roads around me are so rough and bad that it feels like this sort of bike should be the new normal.

If bad roads, with that frame, I suggest Peter's 36 wide rims with 32C. This setup with conti gp5000 will NOT slow you down Vs narrower tyres. The moment you go wider, with existing tyres, afaik, there's a penalty.

I’m going to use a set of Go-Zone 30mm (24 inner) wheels, 45mm deep.
I had them built for the Caledonia and have them fitted with 30mm GP5000 and RideNow TPU tubes.
These should be more than capable wheels for rough roads - I’m used to 25s and 28s on a TCR SL and Cervelo S3, so this should be a big upgrade in comfort.

Chainline is 45mm 
Sram 13 speed cassette on the back require UDH rear hanger , LCR018-D can meet that requirement."

There is absolutely no consistency in the responses, which is my concern.
I was told a 42t would be the largest, which I know is incorrect. I also know a 54t with a 45mm chain line is unlikely to be possible.

Regarding UDH. They’ve modified the hanger which is ok, but it sounds like they’ve also slimmed down the frame which would necessitate a spacer for the rear mech to attach.

If that’s the case, it would need to be precise as there are no adjustments on the UDH rear mechs. They don’t have High/Low or B.

I’m just not convinced by any of the technical information they’re currently providing.

There are plenty of road bikes with round tubes, the most un-aerodynamic shape. So no reason to not use one as a road bike.
It wont be the most aero thing on wheels, but if it fits the rider well and they can bend their arms, it’ll be more aero that someone sitting upright on a Cervelo S5.
