Lightcarbon: LCR018-D (endurance all-road)

I was told that my size 52 frame should be painted by the end of August.
And that it should be shipped in September.
Yesterday, I sent an email to ask if there would be any delays, but I haven't received a reply yet.

This frame is almost exactly what I'm looking for. I know its not "aero" but omitting additional mounts for a bento box or racks/fenders on an endurance bike seems like a miss.

I agree that fender mounts would be a fabulous addition to this frame.
No bento box, but the inframe storage is certainly a great feature.

Yeah the downtube storage is great to replace a saddle bag for inner tubs, levers, and tools but i need space for snacks on an endurance bike lol.

I saw LightCarbon’s reply on Instagram regarding their new frame:

“Two versions, with or without downtube storage. We showed the ‘eye of the wind’ design at the European Bike Show last year, and another brand bought out the ownership of that frame.”

I’m a bit curious about this.

What exactly do they mean with the “eye of the wind” design? Just a project name for the aero frame they showed?
And if another brand bought the ownership of that frame – does that mean it’s now exclusively sold under a different brand name?
Anyone know which brand might have bought it?

Would be interesting to hear your thoughts.

I think that it is the two holes under the seatpost. Seka spear has the same wind eye.

Eye of the wind refers to the "hole" design at the top of the seat stays. There is also a hole at the top of the seatpost.

the option for no storage wasnt mentioned when i ordered so maybe you have to explictly ask for a frame without it or possibly they got rid of the option to simplify production

It is not. The specs of those two bikes are completely different. Unless Mondraker said gives us the wind eye but change everything else.

This is the bike shew last year. Because the mold was sold, they have to make a new frame. This is why it is different.

It depends of the size. If it is size 54, it is in advance.
I think (but not sure) that size 52 is raw finish ready.

I ordered my 54 a few weeks ago and got that artwork confirmation before I paid.
Haven’t heard anything since, but was told it will be October before it’s ready.
