I ordered my 52cm Frame end of July and just asked Wendy about the timeframe. The frame is now in line for painting and will ready to send out end of October, unfortunately.

Have also a half custom paint job in pearl white with the blue crystal on parts of the frame.

First of all: big thank you to all of you for sharing all these valuable infos - also great to see LC active on this forum.

I’ve recently ordered a 58cm (lead time end of October) with an own, custom design.
Was in contact with Wendy and overall I’m very pleased with the ordering experience. Due to the kind of complicated design it took a while to dial everything in (and at some point Wendy should have told us earlier that some parts of the planned design is not possible to paint, would have saved a couple of hours of work with the designer) but in the end we‘ve found a good solution.


I am 193cm with a 93cm inseam. I’ve used Bike-stats to match the position of my Dropbar MTB and went for a 110mm Stem.
The bike is going to be a long distance/all road project.
Will use my 45mm Light Bicycle WR45 wheelset (with a SON Delux & Carbon Ti X Hub).
Biggest challenge will be the routing of the dynamo cable to my front light.
Groupset is likely a mix of Force E1, and Garbaruk Stuff. 44T to 52-10

Hi Paul, I was a lurker up until now as I felt the urge to thank you for this post. I’m also 193 cm and very interested in getting this frame this winter.
Your experience with the frame and its geometry will be extremely useful for me. No pressure

Did you choose Pearl White, or did they steer you to it?  I ask because I want white-white, and they told me that they couldn't do white-white well and tried to sell me on pearl white (which I dislike a lot).

I also went through a number of blues, and they kept saying they couldn't do them, but instead had choices of the ugliest colors and metallic finishes I've ever seen.

I have a cube MTB in pearl white with blue parts. I like this and wanted something similar. But your right, the colour options are not so good, the blue crystal was a the best option to have some blue metallic parts. I search the LCR 017 thread for some pictures of the blue and it doesn't look soooo bad on a frame.

But it was not like Wendy pushed me to take this colour. More like: "this is what we can do, take it or not, sry for the colour options".

I have a cube MTB in pearl white with blue parts. I like this and wanted something similar. But your right, the colour options are not so good, the blue crystal was a the best option to have some blue metallic parts. I search the LCR 017 thread for some pictures of the blue and it doesn't look soooo bad on a frame.

But it was not like Wendy pushed me to take this colour. More like: "this is what we can do, take it or not, sry for the colour options".

I'm just having a tough time coming to terms with plain white being that tough of a color to get right.  It's a standard on so many vehicles and things.

Nice to see more tall people ordering this frame. I am about to order the size 58, I am 194 cm tall with a 925 mm inseam.

According to my measurements I will be able to replicate the same position as my current size 60 frame, moving from a 110 mm stem to the 120 mm handlebars. I currently use 400 mm width handlebars, with short reach, but find them a bit wide (actual 390 mm), so the 380 mm bars should be perfect. Will be ordering the zero offset seat post.

I will pair the frame with a Ultegra Di2 group and XMCarbonSpeed CS-D50CU-36 wheels, with Tufo Thundero 36 mm, hopefully measuring 38 mm actual, for gravel. For road, I will use my current Wheelsfar FS50/30G-700C-Hooked with 28 mm (30 mm WAM) GP5000.

Hello everyone,

First of all, thanks to all of you — I’ve learned a lot from the information shared in this thread, and it really helped me make my decision. That’s also why I finally decided to create an account here.

At first, I was aiming for the LCG071-D frame, but since I won’t be running 50-622 tires, I later noticed that the LCR018 can take up to 38 mm, which is more than enough for me. If I ever want to go with 50-622, I’ll just take my MTB instead.

So yesterday I ordered an LCR018-D in size 56. I’m 182 cm tall with a 91 cm inseam — yes, long legs and a short torso, part of the freakshow cabinet. A bike fit suggested a size 56, same as my current Kona Roadhouse.
And a zero offset post and 100 /380 bar

I went for matte black without logos, mainly because I couldn’t find a color I really liked in the LC charts. Not sure yet if I’ll keep it matte black or paint it myself, but I’ve got plenty of time to decide while the frame is being built. Wendy mentioned production will take about 30–45 days. I requested DPD shipping so that all taxes and fees are prepaid.

I also asked for a 51 mm offset fork instead of the 47 mm, hoping it will make the ride feel a bit more stable, since I’m more used to the slacker head angles of MTBs. If it turns out not to be ideal, I can always order a 47 mm fork later on.

As for components: I already have a set of SRAM Force D1 AXS shifters, so those will go on the bars. For wheels I’ll be using a NOVATEC R4 DISC CL-PRO-XDR-Gen5 set. Still undecided between a 1x or 2x drivetrain — top speed isn’t really a priority, and there’s not much climbing here in the Netherlands. I guess it depends on what good deals come along.

She also proposed a carbon saddle for US$49 (151 g) and bottle cages BC205 for US$15 each (21 g). Does anybody know these products? For the weight and the price they don’t look bad to me.

Does someone know if the mini UDH will be compatible with generic UDH to Shimano direct mount hangers? The pictures of the black bike built up with Shimano from LC show it with the b link.

I can't give you any feedback because I haven't tested it yet, sorry...

Hi friends, I registered here specifically for this frame. I love the design and hope the first frames delivered will clear up any questions.
I saw that 38c is the French size, which according to etro corresponds to 40x622, so normal 40mm tires should fit.
I'm still worried about the SRAM Udh and the maximum chainring at the front, because I'd like to use at least a 46. 50 would be even better.
And what size would you recommend if I'm 1.68m tall with a 78cm inside leg and ride a Canyon Aeroad in size XS, which fits perfectly.
