Hi all,

Woke up this morning to some great news - Carol has emailed to say my 54 frameset is on the way.

A slight hiccup in that she said DPD customs paid is not available to N.Ireland, so she has suggested UPS with a low declared value.
I dont really have much option other than to agree, so fingers crossed all goes ok.

She sent me one quick photo to show everything - all looks really good (I wish they took high quality photos of the frame finish!), but overall I can't wait to get it here and get building.
I'll take some high quality photos when it arrives and ive also just got a little endoscope, so will be able to take some internal shots to check everything out.

Yes, I ordered both seatpost variations, extra storage cover, extra derailleur hanger plus extra headset spacers just in case I should ever need them as I imagine they are frame and handlebar specific.
Tried to cover all angles so I won't need to order anything in the future. I was on the verge of ordering an extra fork but that was one step too far! :-)

Yes, that matches some pictures I've seen of frames ready to ship or already received.

From my calculations, I estimate that the headset bearing cover should be around 10mm in height. Considering the HB17 stem stack of 36.8mm, I think I'll need 20mm of spacers for my desired handlebar height (also considering its 8mm rise on the hoods), and according to your info, I'll still have an extra 10mm (2x5mm) of spacers to play around if needed...

I will build it with Shimano Ultegra Di2 and Tagoola wheels.

Edit : I already have all the components so I will be able to build it very quickly.

Edit 2 : I will be able to compare it with a Giant Propel, TCR, Speeder SC-R55D and a replica SL8.

It looks really nice!! the decal lightcarbon is laser silver color? did you pay for it or it was included?

Yes it’s the laser silver decal colour choice.
Can’t wait to see how everything looks as I don’t think the low quality photo is doing it justice!

The raw carbon+gloss lacquer finish had no extra cost in my case, so I'd say your extra charge was only for the decals...

Yeah, I think Carol mentioned the laser decals were expensive, but to be honest, the whole package is such ridiculous value, I don’t mind.

I think im sorted for everything for the build - what does everyone think about the steerer bung?
Happy enough with stock, or any recommendations for a little upgrade?
There’s very little else to change out on the bike (I have Ultegra 8170 groupset waiting to go and a 45mm Go-zone wheelset) so might as well make everything as good as possible. May be absolutely fine and no point overthinking it, but easy to check now before the build starts.

I was charged $80 for laser decal + raw matte carbon.

Anyways i'm 181 cm, inseam 87.5cm. Long lengs, short torso. Got the size 56 with 380 mm * 90 mm cockpit.

I wonder how glossy black decals would look on the raw matte finish.
