Question for those who received their frame : has anyone ordered the T47 85.5 BB that Lightcarbon offers for an extra 15$USD ?

I did (haven't received my frame yet) and was wondering how's the perceived quality/weight of said BB. Not sure if I should keep it as a spare and source a higher quality BB or not.

I did order theirs (GINEYEA Brand) and I am not impressed by the quality, since the inner drive side was slightly below the required diameter and thus rendered useless. I bought a SRAM Dub T47 (non wide) for approx. 45 EUR to use with my SRAM Force E1 Groupset. Just know, that you need to have the 52mm 16 Tooth nut to tighten the SRAM one, it took me another 2 days until I could finish my build because of that. Other than that, quality-wise the BB fits perfectly now, no complaints. I did two quick runs so far with the completed bike and I am quite happy. I like it better than my Canyon Inflite CF SL 6 which this is now the replacement for, after an accident with frame damage on the canyon.

I did however put in another order for the 0mm offset seat post and a spare UDH just for future shenanigans.

First small issue: during the last 2 rides at the exact same spot in my route over rough gravel when the bike shakes, the storage door sprang open and flew away... - No bottle with me each time.
The issue is, that through the rattling, the handle went down, and when the handle is down, it opens.
Fortunately, there seem to be no damage, as it is solid aluminum or metal.

Now, i found you can adjust the tension with a hex key. The tolerance is very exact, like a couple of degrees more or less makes a huge difference for the tension of the handle. I made it much tighter now and hopes that it fixes.
But I think it is not an optimal constructions - A better way would be to make the handle, so it opens when pulling up instead, or some kind of lock on the handle, like a spring, stop, button idk.

@zealot128 Thanks for posting. I really hope the extra torque should work. Getting cold feet on the storage after reading your post.

Question regarding the frame storage.

Would the frame possibly fit two storage bags? Similar to Enve Fray, which comes with two neoprene storage bags.

Will probably order a custom bag in Dyneema to save a few grams. Would be nice to fit two bags for extra storage.

Headset bearings for anyone interested are MH-P16.
[/quote]  are the headset bearings included in the frame? Or you had to buy them?

My German video for the build-up and a quick review is online :)

Learned something again with this build-up. BB was the biggest hurdle for me, because the specified 40Nm are impossible for me to apply with just that adapter + wrench, as this whole thing will slip much much sooner (maybe 15-20Nmish). Let's see if it will come loose, but for now there are no creaks and the carbon sound at 30kph is wonderful.

It's sad to hear the BB which you can order is crap, at least the SRAM one. Wendy did not suggest me that BB to buy, so I didn't thought about it, and regret it first when I read earlier in this thread that you can order one. But now, maybe that's a better way.
Too bad all T47 seem to have so many different adapter options and wrenches.

Is It normal that the bb slip like that at 15-20nmish? Is It due to the bb box?  Btw, very helpfull video, lots of interesting insights.

Thanks for a great video. I don’t speak German, but still found this a great source. I’m thinking of this for my next build.

I bought the one supply by LC and I torqued it at 30 N.m (recommandation between 25-35 N.m) without any problem. I used those tools. It helps to avoid scratching the BB or the frame :

To clarify, you bought the BB from LC and used one of the adapters at your link? Can you specify which one if so?

Hi everyone, this is my first post—nice to meet you all!

I placed an order for a size 50 frame in mid-August. The frame should be finished this month, and LC is expected to paint it in the Euro2025 color scheme next month.

Regarding the bottom bracket, I also ordered the 24mm Shimano-compatible version from LC. Based on the image already uploaded in this thread, it appears to be the Gineyea T478624. Referring to the specs on the following website, I assumed a 49mm-16T tool would be required:http://www.gineyea.cc/show-37-769.html (For some reason, I couldn’t find any T47 info on the English version of the site.)

However, I’m a bit confused because the HAPPE Bicycle T47 BB Tool that Mr. BeR shared doesn’t seem to include a 49mm-16T compatible option. Does anyone know the actual outer diameter of the BB interface where the tool makes contact?

I used the socket and the tool in pictures.

The socket is 50 mm - 16T even if the BB is 49 mm (for the BB sold by LC). It fits perfectly.

I wonder why there are so many OD T47 design.

Thanks for the info! So it's 50mm-16T. I think I'll go ahead and buy the tool you recommended.

Has anyone heard when the size 56 frames are expected to start shipping?

Not exactly, but Wendy told me the frame would be ready about 30–45 days after the order was confirmed. I ordered my 56 cm on September 20th,
so it should be ready sometime next week — though that might just be wishful thinking.
