In one of the YT videos that I watched (don't remember which one it was), they said $800 without chainrings.

on the vanity of man & the law of diminishing returns :)

Almost guaranteed to wear out faster, will not perform better, so it's purely a weight weenie thing. Will probably theoretically save 1 second over a 10km climb.

It's just funny to me. I do run a carbon crankset, but it cost me 100 something bucks!

Prada needs to start selling bike shoes, and Hermes should sell bar tape. The sad thing is, they would sell like hot cakes.
Fast on the flat. And nowhere else.

Yeah, that's too pricey for me. THM territory, but also THM weight.  It is 220g or something for the arms, but my old sram carbon cranks were in the same $ ballpark as Serge, just 150g heavier.
IDK that they'll wear rapidly, there's a metal sleeve on the carbon where it contacts the bearings.

Tbh I never have and never will understand this obsession with weight. Sure I will try to make sure my bike is not 12 kg. But when people start doing ridiculous things to save 100-200g when 1 kg on 7% saves you like 3-4W...

The extreme weight weenie obsession is like the little man lifted truck complex for well off dentists and trust fund babies on S-Works bikes.  ;D

It’s a hobby. It’s not about saving watts or getting faster. The goal is to just build a light bike. The weight is the goal. It’s not performance related in the slightest. It’s just a fun thing to do.
