Here's an album of photos I've taken so far. No calipers still so no solid numbers but the Allen key in the photos are all 6mm wide. Rear tire is a 45 terra trail and a 50mm

Did you order black glossy or raw glossy?

I'm in the US. I had to ship mine with UPS with all the tariff stuff so it got here faster than their option. For color, I just clicked glossy but it does look glossy black.

Hopefully helped to relieve some people's opinion that it looks cheap. I thought from the photos but I think the build velobuild did made it look bad

Darn. I was actually really hoping it would fit my 2.2 race kings :/ They fit on my Salsa Journeyer until I moved them onto hookless rims with 25mm internal. They sort of fit at first but over a month or so the tires seemed to expanded slightly and started rubbing on the fork.

52 total, I think it was like 38 to tariff and rest was shipper dues. I ordered it pretty much when they first announced, think I was at least in the first 13 or so.

Darn. I was actually really hoping it would fit my 2.2 race kings :/ They fit on my Salsa Journeyer until I moved them onto hookless rims with 25mm internal. They sort of fit at first but over a month or so the tires seemed to expanded slightly and started rubbing on the fork.

I was hoping the same but im willing to bet 50-52 is prob the max you will get in there. Just the chainstays are going to be your limiting factor.

This is quite disappointing honestly. Claimed 50mm clearance is supposed to mean 50+6 each side, so 62mm between the chainstays - which should be plenty enough clearance for a Race King. This looks like it barely has more clearance than my Graro (45mm officially).

1) Is that rim really wide?
2) Is the tire pumped up to max pressure or something?

So I had a chance to put some tires into the frame and see whatll fit. Sadly to say, my 2.2s cleared the chain stays and sesttube just fine, but it rubbed on both chain stays. That may be from the fact the rim isn't fully true but even without the minor variation in it, I wouldn't recommend to anyone. The 50 cleared the front with around 6mm on either side so 2.2 would be fine up front.

I will say that 2.2 race King looked damn good in the frame, if you shave the side knobs off it may work but kinda seems like a waste when you could get a proper 2.1, just watch the side knob height.

thanks for sharing. The frame looks so much better than that abomination from Eurobike so I'm excited again to receive mine hopefully in a couple of weeks. Tire clearance is much tighter than I was hoping for to be hones but if it will accommodate 50mm in the rear with some mud clearance I'll be happy with that.
Is that an overspray in the bb threads or just some dirt?

Also is it worth facing the bottom bracket shell since it is painted of the sides?

yeah, I'm honestly pretty disappointed too and am considering seeing if they'll let me cancel my order. Claiming 50c tires clearance when there's only ~3mm wiggle room is misleading. I chose this frame because of the claimed tire clearance. If it's not bigger than frames claiming 45c, it loses most of it's appeal to me. All it has left is a price point that I like.

Rim isnt wide at all, 19 mm internal lol. It's not super pumped up but maybe a bit more than typical.

Wait a minute, the face of bb shell be painted, same goes for brake caliper mounts on the frame. Is this paintjob   done incorrectly from what i can see on the pictures?

Looking at the real life pictures of the frame, I wonder what makes this frame "Aero". Apart from the seatpost, all the tubes and especially the fork/headtube look bulky.

How do you find Ridley Noah Fast's 3.0 ForkTube design, then?

My frame arrived yesterday and I'm pretty happy with it so far. It looks almost like a Ridley ASTR.

Two Things to keep in mind:
1. The frame has a lot of bolts (bottle cages, mud guards etc.) Those bolts look cheap on a black frame. So I ordered black bolts for the hole frame from Amazon.

2. (and that is my fault - but VB takes here a dumb route): the rear axle has a 1.5 thread and is not compatible with a sram axs transmission. A transmission RD needs an axle with 1.0 thread. So I had to order that as well...

Looking forward to finish the build and post some pictures. (FYI: 50mm Conti Terra Hardpack on 30mm inner width rim has enough clearance).

Thats new… Reading it again, I get that the problem is with the wheel axle provided with the frame, which comes with a 1.5 thread.

Just reached Velobuild regarding this, I'm planning to use a Transmission derailleur.

They must provide that info right away within the page for people to know that.

The 50 terra for the rear has plenty or in the front. I tried my 2.2 in the front fork and I had about 4.5mm all around. Idk what is going on in the rear, my racekings aren't super old but im sure they have stretched some.

Also, the brake hose on the fork is routed, so no fishing for the hose, amen amen.
