Slowly and surely the build is coming along, not the tires I will likely end on and I am going to try to see if the p505 will fit but overall very happy with the ease of build and comfort.

Any perspective on the strength of the layup of this frame? I'm a heavier rider that likes to get on a bit of singletrack, does the tubing feel thin? Do they offer a stronger layup option? Thanks!

I have not built up my frame yet, but have it sitting next to a canyon endurace CF SLX, and the tubing feels much thicker than that frame. Noticeably less flex when squeezing the top tube with my hand. The frame seems very durable, likely at the cost of weight, as it is much heavier than the canyon frame.

Good feedback, I'd be coming off steel so it all feels light to me. I'll take strength over weight on a cheap frame

Just for info. I ordered this frame on July 27th and it hasn't arrived at home. The status is still in order printed in China. So I think it's going to be quite long.

I received my frame (size M with Pearl White painting) on Thursday (7th). I made the order on July 4th, so a little more than a month from order to delivery. Haven't had the time to look close at it yet, but the paint looks very nice and good quality overall. Hope to get the build finished by next week.

Any feedback on the general quality of Velobuild's paint jobs? If I'm pulling the trigger on this frame I'm not getting another black frame, so I will get it painted no matter what  Only curious if it's better to just go for a standard one color paint than to try to be adventurous (I realize this probably have been answered over time in many other topics, but bear with me, I'm a new user that have lurked for some time).

Look at velobuild insta story today. The paintjob reminds me of that horribible paintjob that SPCycle did (user posted it here).

Have anybody used ppf on this frame? I guess no pre-cut kits works with the frame and have to use universal/bulk ppf-kit.

Sorry for the slow response here, the whole system (frame size M, fork, seatpost, handlebars) came in at ~2150g, which is only 100 grams over the quoted weight for the size M. This was also with a 420/110mm handlebar, so maybe that accounts for the increased weight as they might use the weight for the smaller bars.

 Quick update, Magene PES 505 worked with my FSA t47i bb. I did use the wavy washer on the drive side to give some more space around the bb but I would feel safe saying that it would be fine without it. Cranks are 165mm, so I have prob an inch+ of room between my toe and the 2.1 on the front
