I finally received my wheelset this week and the 0 mm offset chainring (and spacers - I have 3.5 mm chainstay clearance with 1 mm spacer and 48t chainring). However, I ran into new problems. The 13 speed Rival chain doesn’t fit the chainring, it seems. I tried putting on a used 12 speed D1 chain and it fits just fine (it’s stretched though). Any ideas where I got it wrong? The chainring is Sram AXS Flattop compatible and I understood the 12 and 13 speed chains were identical dimensions.

(Also, Pass Quest sent me oil slick chain bolts and not the black ones ordered and doesn’t seem to bother sending me the right ones)

The chains are the same as the 12sp Transmission MTB T-Type chains - not the same as the 12sp road chains.

Hi there,
The frame is indeed designed for direct mounting of 160mm both front and rear!

Yes direct mount for rear but for front we need flat mount adapter in 160 position like this picture

the chainring is listed as Shimano, even if they wrote AXS compatible

I guess you would have probably figured it out yourself, if it would be the solution, but on your picture you did not align the narrow-wide teeth correctly to the chain.
Try to align the wide teeth with the chain section where two outer plates meet the tooth.

I think the picture might hide it, but I ran the wide teeth with the wide chain sections. After some discussion with Pass Quest, it turns out this chainring is not compatible with AXS (although their website says so), and they apparently have an identical chainring on their website with AXS added in the headline that is supposedly compatible.

I ended up getting a Wolftooth chainring from a local shop instead. Again, trouble presented itself and it would not fit my Magene P515 crank although it is 110bcd. I ended up taking off 0.5 mm of each of  the inner interfaces of the 4 bolt attachments to make it fit. Tomorrow, I will receive a new chain (the other was too short for 46t/48t). Fingers crossed that I will be successful this time.

I rode the first 200km. Overall, I am delighted. That frame and bike are great, with those light wheelsets it is a killer 
But...I experienced "seatpost slippage". Do you have any tips on how to resolve this issue?

I guess carbon paste and overtorque

yeah, lot of carbon paste can do a lot

I will be more precise. While riding, especially on rough terrain, the saddle tends to tilt up or down (see the attached picture). It feels like the clamp in the seatpost isn’t holding it firmly enough.
Could this be a defect in the seatpost clamp system, or is there something I can adjust/tighten to fix it? Where to put that carbon paste exactly?

I had the same issue on my VB 268 with the same saddle clamp

My solution was to overtorque a bit the saddle clamp (careful with carbon rails if you have them)
You could also put some friction paste specially for metal in between the seatpost metal hole and the saddle clamp

I just discovered another issue with the paint "quality." After only 200 km, my handlebar bag caused this damage to my head tube.
Should I cover/paint those areas?
