Friends,
inspired by your sub, I've started work on an XC build.
All the parts are in the post, pretty much, and I reckon we're about 6 weeks out from riding the thing.
Right now I'm looking at 10.8kg with heavy pedals, a relatively heavy crank, and a beefy fork... for aboooout £1,350.
Please take a look at the build:

- I used the higher end of listed weights for components... still, might work out heavier
- not strictly an xc fork, but 120mm and reliable for £150 all in? Works for me
- Used ebay to buy the frame for better (perceived?) buyer protection
- bits in yellow are yet to be ordered
- yes, it's all matte black and minimal logos
If you'd like to help:
- who is making 12 speed microspline cassettes that will take a bit of abuse?
