Pretty sure 8-Bar used open molds in the past so its not surprising. I also think this frame is so good its not surprising it got picked up. If i wanted to sell bikes, there is a good chance I would pick this one too.

I do think that claiming aero considerations and kamtail shapes are a bit of a stretch here. Yes, they tried a little, but this bike isnt trying to be aero. The other thing I hate, and it might be a translation from the Radsport article, is that they made it sound like someone in Germany was doing design work and picked the profile of the frame. If its this frame, we know that's not true.

Perhaps its just cosmetic issue?

Keep me updated please! I will just order the Kocevlo handlebar and hope the split ring that is coming with it, will fit the FSA headset.

I ended up getting the ACR headset, some spacers https://a.aliexpress.com/_EItS9gO a couple of kalloy uno stems in different lengths to try experiment with fit, some RXL SL aero 38 tops handlebars & an adapter from ACR to external routing from here https://a.aliexpress.com/_Eu39WEW.

It’s my first roadbike, so might not be too smart to already have a locked in barstem setup, rather experiment a bit. Different solution, will probably look a bit more ugly, but it makes stuff much more simple. After I’m happy with a certain setup I will get a good barstem combo, but this is easy & still very light for now.

This isnt a crack, but that void seems like could become one. I agree with the others, it would be best to see what they have to say. If it were my product, I would want it back and not have it out in the world with the potential to break.

Mine initially protruded a few millimeters, now it lies a little lower, but not 8mm.

But a bit too many spacers maybe? I think 40mm is generally considered maximum for carbon steerer tubes?

Usually pictures make it look worse than it is. I'd probably ride that. You could try to get a freebie out of them, but you re probably missing less than 1mm on a 1cm square patch in a non critical / heavily reinforced area, i think we'd see stuff like that in a lot of frames of people took photos of their frames. I have something similar on the stem of my latest cockpit for example.

Just received my frame today, there is also a small part of carbon missing in the seattube, it looks like it’s gonna be fine. Pretty happy with the finish overall. Will post pics when build is ready!

So, my FSA No. 55 headset doesn't seem to fit quite right; the upper bearing is too loose and has play. The original bearings fit better. I also have to use the C-ring and spacers supplied with the Lightcarbon HRB17. Effectively, the only part of the FSA No. 55 bundle I'm actually using is the included expander. A question for everyone who has already built up their LTK: how much clearance do you have between the head tube and the fork at the bottom, and between the head tube and the handlebar dust cap at the top?

Quick note here--the bearings are supposed to be drop-in and not even be tight enough to require a finger press. They should have enough play to center as the steerer is preloaded.
