@benquick vs the r088, this bike will probably need a 10mm longer stem. That's not crazy, and since it has a slacker HTA, it should actually feel a bit more stable.

Vs. your VBr177, I can see the potential issue with sizing and spacers; though the size L 266 doesn't seem to require an unreasonably long stem, and an extra headset spacer probably shouldn't be a deal breaker either.

I am planning to use T4 ULTRA handlebars as they have a 13mm rise, so the spacers could literally stay the same. That being said I already use 25mm on my VB-R-177, and wouldn't mind using less for aesthetics.

I have a little bit of FOMO, as I am realizing more and more that LTK266-D-SL in size XL would actually be just what I need. Slightly higher stack (= equal or less spacers than on my VB-R-177 = more aesthetic), and shorter reach (= can use current length stem = ease the pressure on my hands and make the bike feel less "long"). Really too bad they are not making the frame in that size, as I don't think I will be going with the size L due to so many variables changing (also how far forward / backward I would be positioned on the bike) that can alter my ride feel compared to my current bike.

Again, I am probably overthinking this a bit, as if I had the frame already I could probably make it work, and even with all the measurements in advance I actually can't predict everything regarding the bike feel.

The game is back on. I asked Alisa whether they are having any plans for XL sizes, and she replied that XL and XXL framesets are planned to be available sometime in January. Long time to go, but I won't be needing a new frame before spring anyway, so I think they just won me back.

my frame arrived  color is better than expected! was going a bit risky but not too dissapointed! the ud transparent is sadly just matt black!
pictures are following but short question what spacers you guys are using! the ones i received with the frame are crazy heavy and pretty bad finished!

ughhh... I was planning to pull the trigger on the LightCarbon LCR018-D but the more I think about it, the more attractive this frame is. I know its not the same geo but why not spend a bit more for a more aggressive but significantly higher spec frame as your base for your build? The wider tire clearance was my main attraction to both.

I am a huge bike fit, geometry, and physics/ engineering nerd and--just as a word of warning 15mm reach at the same stack is a massive difference. Similarly, that difference in the front center can have a noticeable difference in handling too. It tends to get downplayed here, because its easy to fall in love with the way something looks (I am guilty of it too!), and the cost tends to be attractive.

This bike is very much in the vein of the Giant TCR and other race bikes, not an endurance bike like the Defy.

So the XXL has a reach of 401mm but an ETT of 590 !! which is super long. Is this because it uses a zero offset seatpost which would bring it back to 570/575mm ?

DIY oven.  Holds +/-3C

Tweaked the oven a bit with some 12v 120mm computer fans I had lying around and it would hold within +/-1(!)  Kind of irrelevant  as the cure temperatures Cerakote quote are up to 300C but I didn't trust a third party to not overcook the frame.  I suspect the epoxies are low temperature curing so wanted to exercise caution.

Sprayed with a super cheap hvlp Wagner and it came out pretty decently but I definitely put it on too thick as there's some orange peel.  Really needed a gun with an adjustable fan/round as most of it went in the air.

Exactly 25g for the frame only - was running out the door so photos tomorrow. 15g certainly sounds plausible if you spray stuff for a living.

can someone help with alternative spacer ideas? orderd a fsa55 but dont know if the ltk cockpit work with fsa spacers... the spacer quality from the ltk cockpit is so ridiculous bad! not usable! lets see whats alisa is saying....

Did the cockpit come with any other spacers or adapters? Would be helpful to see a photo of everything that came with that barstem.

Agree those are bad. Some of the plastic ones get better with the steerer tube inside. Are these aluminum?
