I can barely remember the good weather :'( The amount of rain is crazy at the moment.

Tell me about it, it's been desperate.  I was going to keep this bike for the good weather and get the old one off the turbo for the Winter, but what's the point of having a nice bike for 3 weeks of the year? Instead I invested in some good wet weather gear, and make sure to give it a good wash after every ride.  When you feel prepared for the weather, it's fine once you get going.

NGL though, I'm looking forward to those warm Summer evening rides

Has anyone the CAD Data of the spacers? Chris said their engineer is on holidays and he could provide the file only to the end of the month… maybe one having the file could slide into my dms?

Hi together,

building up this frame for a friend in Germany, 178cm tall. We ordered size 49 in chameleon white.

Spec of the build will be:
1by Wheeltop Gravel Groupset (1300grams)
Bitranz Carbon Wheels 65mm (32mm ext, carbon spokes, 1320 grams for the pair)
Leese Crankset DUB with 54T Chainring (around 500 grams)
Goldix 12spd, 10-46 cassette at 284grams
ZTTO chain 254 grams not shortened
Handlebar we ordered the integrated version of velobuild,
Saddle is a schmolke replica at 60 gram, Onrii Pedals 200 grams, Bottlecages 17 gram per piece
GP5000s in 28mm width (230 gram per piece)
Ridenow tubes 28g per piece

Hoping overall to archive well under 8kgs.

Hey finally assembled everything. The brake mounts maybe need some more facing and maybe in the future a 3mm offset chainring is needed for the right crankshaft assembly (a lot of spacers now and chainring is mounted on the wrong side of the powermeter.

Does anyone know exactly which bearings are needed for the headset?

I was checking the measurements to cut the fork and installed the red bearing on the bottom, but Chris from Velobuild said this one goes on the top... however, when trying to remove it I had difficulty and even opened the sealed part of the bearing, and when reassembling it, I noticed what seems to be a small amount of slack, which has me a little worried.

Therefore, I would like to buy a new set of bearings as a spare, in case any problems arise during the final assembly next week. I have already requested the part from Chris, but I haven't received a response yet... and now, with the Chinese New Year holiday, I don't expect to receive a response anytime soon.

Could someone please share the exact specifications of the bearings so I can order the correct set?

The bottom one is 52x40x7mm 45°/45°, but I would recommend getting an 8mm thick one instead to be sure the fork and frame clears each other. I believe the top one is same dimensions - top one is easier to correct with spacers if you have clearance issues, but would probably still recommend an 8mm thick one on top as well.

I'm thinking about converting my 368 into some sort of hybrid TT bike. We have local-ish TT races in the summer, and entry is free. So why not 

Any thoughts about the cockpits? Clip-on aero bars? Riser kit? Not sure what would be most effective and practical.

Well at least they mostly have great reviews on their handlebars. Think there's a big thread on weightweenies.com on narrow handlbars and BikeDoc generally seems fine. Don't know about those particular TT bars though.

I wrote Velobuild too and apparently they sell their TT handlebars for 140 USD. But that's the one with bullhorns for their TT frame..

There's a review by Hambini where he roasts another Velobuild but that was 3 years ago. Can anyone say if their frames have improved since then?

Built two 368's and no complaints. Everything went together as it should, they are going strong and a pleasure to ride.

If anyone were to make an (un)educated guess, how aero do you think the VB-R-368 is?

Is it ignorant to hope it might be almost as aero as a Cervelo S5 just because there's so much carbon on it?
