Thanks! They're just some generic titanium holders from AE that're essentially Silca knockoffs. ~$12 USD each. Carbon would have been a bit lighter, but I liked the titanium look.

@Bambelbie, The bike looks great, the whole setup seems very balanced, hats off! How do you like the Altera? I'm also considering another gravel frame that's a bit more race-oriented. Do you think the Altera could also be used for cyclocross (with different wheels)? Is it agile enough for that?

With 45mm Caracal Race they are LESS sensitive than my old Elitewheels edge gravel 45mm deep, with Strada Bianca TLR 45mm tires.. which is quite impressive.
Of course you can feel wind if you have them paired with large tires, and there is heavy crosswinds - but actually in my case it was alot better than i expected 😊

Got my wheels from Peter and mounted up some Thundero 48s that measure out to 51.3mm. Wheels feel really good so far. Going to put some more miles on them with wider rubber as well.

I placed an order for these wheels! They'll be paired with a Yoeleo Altera G21 frame that I ordered from Power Meter City in CA.

Shipping to US was $150 via FedEx, with a $61 "service charge". Not sure what that is exactly. Tariff, maybe? Total cost about $1,270. Definitely an increase from what others had reported from last year.

In a comment to my order on the XMCS site, I asked if the titanium color hub could be swapped to black.

T1100 version D53TU-41 wheelset UD paintless built with new R248 lighter hubs 24/24H 36T rachets TPI steel bearings with Shimano HG driver, Sapim CX-Ray spokes, Sapim self-securing aluminum nipples weighs around 1375g/pair, and they are 800 USD/pair excluding shipping,

Same combo built with titanium spokes would weigh around 1330g/pair and they would be 900 USD/pair excluding shipping

T800 version wheelset UD paintless finish with old R280 hubs with Sapim CX-Ray spokes, Sapim self-securing nipples would be 715 USD/pair and weighs around 1445g/pair

Sapim brass nipples would increase the wieght around 35g/ set

how does the stiffness compare to steel spokes or carbon spokes? I understand the vibration dampening can help but what about speed and acceleration?

Slightly less stiff than steel spokes of equal mass. Significantly less stiff than carbon spokes of equal mass.

Titanium doesn't have any real vibration damping properties. I suspect people often conflate lower stiffness with increased vibration damping.

My Caracal Race TLR 45-622 does measure almost exactly 50mm on these rims. (front wheel slightly above, rear wheel slightly below 50mm), But they are slightly above 2mm oversized on 25mm rims already.
