Alright, just got it unboxed and threw on my wheelset for some photos.
Frame size is 56. 50mm deep rims with exterior rim width of 28mm and 32c Continental Grand Sport tires (GP5k are on the way).
Front fork is 486g
Frame is 1135g
Seatpost is 225g
Headset + spacers 154g
Handlebars (42cm x 110mm? with bike computer mount) 456g
Frame, fork, and seatpost are completely unpainted.
First impressions: The frame itself looks pretty good. Its not perfect, but I cant complain given how much I paid ($500 USD shipped).
Additional notes:
- The frame itself seems pretty solid and well formed. Cointest sounded fine throughout. I'll be getting an endoscope tomorrow so ill take some photos of the inside later.
- Some surface inperfections, the seatpost area is a bit warped, and the rear thruaxel area is pretty gnarly looking. Fingers crossed, these are all cosmetic.
- Pleasently suprised to see a di2 battery mount at the bottom of the frame, like a real Factor Ostro VAM.
- Headset is pretty different than an actual Factor Ostro VAM 2.0. I think they sent me a "generic" headset package because some of the parts seem to be completely incompatible with this bike.
- Included in the packaging was a computer mount for the handlebars.
- They did send me a pair of thruaxels as agreed since I got the frame unpainted, but they sent me the wrong handlebar size (42cm wide
). Hopefully they can send me a new pair in the right size.
Let me know if there are any other photos you would like me to take!
