See picture. The handlebar listing seems to come with the mount. Hopefully they don't screw around not including it with frameset.

Edit: I see it now in the picture they sent. It is included in my order.

What BB are you guys getting for this frameset?

I didnt get confirmation from Tantan/Seraph, but presumably it is also a T47A with a shell of around 79mm. I'm personally looking at the Kactus T47A on aliexpress, but interested in other options  :)

I went for t47a ceramic from onirii, and a riro crankset i had laying around. I'll report the qfactor once mounted. Shipping says it's in europe

Ztto DUB matched with Oniirii attack crank. That crank has been my go to for my recent builds.

I had the Kactus T47A but the "ceramic" bearings started to make funny noises after about 800 km. I pressed them out and pressed in genuine enduro bearings and all is fine.

FWIW there is an elite-level racer here in Chicago that has been using a replica Ostro VAM for the past two seasons. He races against the top crit teams in the country.

It's probably difficult to substantiate performance of the frame. I mean it doesn't seem to be holding him back. At the very least the frameset has been able to take abuse at the highest level.

Which manufacturer? Do you know?

Joey

Looks like my frame is getting delivered today!!! Will post photos as soon as I get it :)

@Pupilorutero Here are photos of tire clearance with the 32c tires (Continental Grand sport race on 28mm external width rims). Its pretty tight, but I think its doable for really clean road conditions. about 3-4mm to my eye.

Joey

Alright, just got it unboxed and threw on my wheelset for some photos.
Frame size is 56. 50mm deep rims with exterior rim width of 28mm and 32c Continental Grand Sport tires (GP5k are on the way).

Front fork is 486g
Frame is 1135g
Seatpost is 225g
Headset + spacers 154g
Handlebars (42cm x 110mm? with bike computer mount) 456g
Frame, fork, and seatpost are completely unpainted.

First impressions: The frame itself looks pretty good. Its not perfect, but I cant complain given how much I paid ($500 USD shipped).

Additional notes:

  • The frame itself seems pretty solid and well formed. Cointest sounded fine throughout. I'll be getting an endoscope tomorrow so ill take some photos of the inside later.
  • Some surface inperfections, the seatpost area is a bit warped, and the rear thruaxel area is pretty gnarly looking. Fingers crossed, these are all cosmetic.
  • Pleasently suprised to see a di2 battery mount at the bottom of the frame, like a real Factor Ostro VAM.
  • Headset is pretty different than an actual Factor Ostro VAM 2.0. I think they sent me a "generic" headset package because some of the parts seem to be completely incompatible with this bike.
  • Included in the packaging was a computer mount for the handlebars.
  • They did send me a pair of thruaxels as agreed since I got the frame unpainted, but they sent me the wrong handlebar size (42cm wide  :-\). Hopefully they can send me a new pair in the right size.

Let me know if there are any other photos you would like me to take!

Why did you order it without any paint? Are you going to do your own custom paint job?

Yes, I will be doing a custom paint job. but also because its easier to see the quality of the frame itself.

Tight indeed... what is the actual measured width of the tires?
