I am not sure I am looking forward at receiving the frame anymore 😅. Still has not moved for the last 8 days.

My TanTan x68 frameset just started to move again today after 16 days of silence. Finally arrived in the USA.

Not sure which shipping method you chose. But my stuff is coming China by boat. The last order took like 5 weeks. But I also didn't pay tariffs.

@Benbenben you should use tracking from http://120.24.110.114:8380/WebTrack see if results are different, it should be

@Joey sure am happy you didn't get my issue, and I really think 120$ is okay, you'll need to add around 30$ to get good handlebars and maybe 3d print some adapter. I'm a professional painter, don't hesitate to ask for recommandations on what to do so you don't rocket your budget

@Pupilorutero Handling was weird. At first I tried to tell me that the issue was cosmetic, if not aero, but then i went on making slalom on a parking and really, placebo or not the machine did not turn the same at all!!! I am maybe exagerating but I felt really weird, I tested it this morning and it's gone for good (could be placebo again)

@OlHag Cyclismo you want measures or pics? can do both

EMS is the shipping method. Usually, all my items from Aliexpress, including framsets from other sellers & wheelsets, are coming to Canada from the air.

So it seems the provided handlebar is the bottleneck for tt-x71. If not safe at all, I am wondering if there is a way to get partial refund with AliExpress on basis that the bar is not safe.

I would like to avoid building the bike with that bar if I already know it's trash

By my standards it is not but I always buy aftermarket stiffness
The bar is so thin (aero if you put it that way) that even in 38cm lowest they could offer, it bends too much. I do not have the means to do a scientific test but I can provide a video?

Coming back on the BB. Can someone explain why t47a is needed? I bought a std T47 DUB. It's the first time I see someone mention assymetric is needed. Also no mention from tantan (not surprised by that though). I am assuming this is a clearance issue, but where?

.   @Vincent57 I was planning to get this frame set, but without handlebars and seatpost. As you have the bike in flesh, do you think a regular integrated cockpit would work with the steerertube? And is the seatpost the same as ostro vam 2.? I was looking at some aftermarket seatpost instead of the one that tantan provide. Do you haopen to know what width are the axles and what pitch is used for the thread. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Depends on the shell width? If you're going to mount a T47i BB on a 77mm wide (meant for T47a bb's) then the external width with the BB mounted will be incorrect. It's going to shift the driveside outboard by about 9mm if I'm not mistaken.

Ok, got it. Sounds like I needed to do a bit more research on t47 BB. So TT x71 has a 77mm shell. Then, I need to buy a t47a and build another bike because I have an extra t47i now 😜

Edit: most likely will go with Kactus t47a ceramic

How are is everyone going about payment. They recommended PayPal but I've been hacked recently through PayPal and now I am hesitant to go that route. I'm wanting to pull the trigger on a complete x71 from tantan.

I am getting a ZTTO t47 2479 bottom bracket (should arrive in the next few days). Paid like $10 USD on Aliexpress (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005842678547.html).

My understanding is that it fits 79mm shell. It might be 2 mm too wide, no? TT X71 should be 77mm. The inner plastic sleeve could be removed, but not the best.

Let us know how it fits!

Just got the ZTTO 2479 BB today, and im actually shocked at the quality of it :). Looks to be solid CNC'd metal, very nice finish. Alot more premium than what the $10 price tag would suggest.

Fits the TT-X71 frame fine. I measured the ZTTO BB's minimum distance to be 76.5mm. When the BB is installed in the frame, I can still feel some play in the cup, so it is not interfering with the frame's BB shell.

Tantan confirmed it's coming to Canada by air. Now 15 days since last update. Tantan keeps telling to "wait for more time". Bought the frame Aug 4th, shipped Sept 13th. Still has not left China it looks like.

I was hoping to ride the bike this season, looks like it will be a 2026 bike.

they had quite a heavy storm in China which delayed a lot of packages, especially larger ones (I've also bought a wheelset a few weeks ago which hasn't left China yet)
