I know what carbon looks like. This is my 10th frame with a raw carbon finish. I don't think you understood what I meant. This isn't just a regular seam between two carbon plies. When the frames come out of the mold, they're sanded down to remove excess resin and prepare the surface for painting. However, excessive sanding can cut through the top layers of carbon. That’s exactly what happened here at the edge in the middle of the down tube. When you press on it, you can feel that the carbon layer isn’t thick enough here anymore.
