Love the orange. What pantone number did you use? Or was it a suggested colorway that they had?

It's Pantone Orange 021 C. Initially when doing AI mockups for the paint it looked a lot more muted which had me worried, though I suspected that was just AI being shit at accurately representing the colours. Fortunately that was the case because the video from Jack shows it's exactly what I was hoping for in terms of vibrancy.

Hello, need a bit of advise on sizing. Being 172 cm, about 81 cm inseam, and with fairly muscular upper body should I go XS os S? S seems longer than my current M-sized road bike. I would like this to be all-round bike for max 5-6 hours gravel rides on weekends. Also thinking about some bike packing... (more of an idea than plan yet). I usually get hand numbness on my road bike (despite more relaxed position) and I'm concerned XS might be to low at a front, but then again S seem long.

With similar height/inseam as you, I went with a size S + 80 mm stem and I'm quite happy with it.

I am also interested in this along with the depth of the cup as that will also be needed for a good fit.

Finding a fully integrated stem that isn't a boat anchor and 200 dollars is proving a challenge.

Where can I find these parts? I bought a handlebar that comes with one that's too wide, so it leaves a gap 😔

I bought the handlebar from SPcycle and the frame from Mondince... when I go to install it, I run into this problem—is anyone else experiencing this? The cover headseat It looks too thick

Need to finish the build and especially to dial in the fit. Fully road setting:

1) newmen all-round 49/54 carbon spokes + Pirelli 40mm tyres
2) deda superbox stem
3) ascent aeroo road bars

The compression ring I needed to use to make full internal routing work was the deda compression ring for the superbox stem in the variant "Botecchia Emme 4" (the compression ring that comes with the stem fits, but sits too high).

I have also been thinking about making the Mondince FM316 a proper road bike – I love the geometry, but maybe for a gravel bike I'd prefer slightly more clearance. @EIB, I notice in your picture that you are running a Ultegra 2x build, so I assume it is a standard road axle length. Is there anything special about 2x on this bike? I've been running a 1x Sram XPLR setup on this, but if I were to convert it to a road bike I'd prefer a standard Sram 2x build. I'd be happy with 35-40mm tyre clearance.

Just out of curiosity what is your bearing height? I see the bearing cover has stamped 7.5 and yours might be 8.5mm bearing :)

My bearing is 7mm and the cover that comes with the handlebar is 7.5mm; I'm wondering if yours comes with the 7.5mm cover or a smaller one.

What do you mean by “special”?

@Buffon_bj I also run FM316 as a road bike - nothing special about the build, FD works fine and is easy to install, the rest is the same as for 1x drivetrain tbh
The only thing to keep in mind that with FD rear tyre clearance is smaller but unless you want to run some 50mm+ slicks it should be fine

@EIB @Fadenek Sorry for being so unclear with my question – I guess my point was mainly about 2x chainring/crank clearance. On my old gravel bike, I could not run a 2x road width crankset as the inner chainring would rub on the chainstay. But based on the fact that you are running an Ultegra crankset, I guess that is not a concern for this bike, and I could just go with my normal Sram road width crankset as well?

@Buffon_bj I'm actually running a bit different crankset - Geoid PM500 with 48/35 PassQuest chainrings and the small ring was rubbing but got a spacer supplied by PassQuest with chainrings (supposedly to install in 12s configuration), installed it and it works fine. Even the power measurement looks fine as well (compared with a trainer).

I'm actually planning to change the setup to 50/34 today as I'm missing a bit lower and higher gears (I'm living in a hilly region), so the clearance naturally is going to be better.

Have tried GRX crankset before (RX-820, 48/31) - worked fine, generally Shimano cranks tend to have better clearance than Geoid PM500/Magene PES505/PES515 so imo should be fine, wonder what is @EIB experience with Ultegra crankset.

I have installed this groupset previously on my giant tcr - press fit BB - and the only difference with the mondince fm316 build was the installation of the waved washer that came with the BB

https://www.windwave.co.uk/product/fsa-t47-68mm-24mm-shimano-road-bottom-bracket-fsa.bb.t47.68.24.shm.rd

Without that piece the small chainring was, in my opinion, too close to the chain stay

Could anyone who has built up this Spcycle frame with an integrated handlebar help me out and tell me what size the headset bearing cover was? 7,5min, 7mm, 6,5mm??

 Many thanks.
