Mondince new 2026 Aero Gravel

Its a Mondraker Arid. GEO basically lines up perfectly.
After reading the geo reviews of the Mondraker and seeing the weight of the frame I am likely looking for something a bit more racy to complement my Carbonda 696.

I don't think it's a mondraker arid. Seatstays are a match but many mounts don't match.
The mondraker doesn't have rear rack mounts, has a different headtube, different seat clamp mechanism, trapdoor latch is different, top tube appears thinner, it has no FD mount at all (ew), chainstays are much thinner, different cable exits too. Fork is also completely different to look completely upright.

I'm with you though. I also have a 696 and want something more racy

Its an arid copy, don't think they are the supplier by any means.
Let me know if you find a proper replacement. A few are close, but nothing completely sells me yet.

I just assembled a gravel bike based on SP Cycle G069. Darn! this Mondince one looks a lot sexier.

I could never use this frame. The reach is extreme for the sizes. And seat tube and head tube is very short for frame size that would possibly fit. Also quite big size steps between the sizes. Shame, because it really looks nice - and I do like that the angles does not change between sizes.

Reach wise it's not too different from the tideace gv201, but at least the stack is not that low.
If you have a look at how the mondraker arid (same geo) is assembled, they use 70 or 80mm stems.
I think longer reach and short stems is a good combo on gravel bikes because the short stems gives back a bit of reactivity that you'll lose when slacking the head tube angle, and I want an open head tube angle to avoid toe overlap and have some more stability at slow speed when offroading.
As for the short seat tube, I agree, for an AERO frame I'd like a more horizontal top tube, that will also give some more space inside the main triangle for a frame bag, having a lot of seatpost sticking out should help with comfort though.

Small would fit me fine - but i would rather want seat tube 480mm and head tube 146mm, like the medium frame. That would be awesome. Maybe 0.5deg slacker headtube, but that is a taste difference which doesnt master that much.

I could use the small now - but would need spacer tower and aero and look-wise i dont like the short seattube lenght.

When I ordered the frame I asked to avoid drilling the frame in that place as it looks a concentration point for mechanical stress; good to hear I wasn't wrong
On mondince website the geometry chart has changed because now the fork has a flip chip that wasn't there a while ago.

There is something weird in the geometry chart. The Tideace Noah GV201 size 54 has 125 mm head tube and 400 mm fork, and the stack is 562 mm. The FM316 size S has the same 125 mm head tube and the same 400 mm fork and the stack is 573 mm. The FM316's head tube angle is slacker than the Noah, which should make the stack lower, not higher than the Noah.

Mondince : (400mm + 125mm)*sin(70,5°)= 495mm + 75mm of BB drop = 570mm (geometry chart says 573mm, close enough)
Gv201 : (400mm + 125mm)*sin(71,8°)= 499mm + 78mm of BB drop = 577mm (instead of 562)

Math isn't working on the GV201 IMHO.
