Frameset choice for tall rider
« on: August 23, 2025, 08:52:18 AM »
Hi everyone!

I’m currently looking for a carbon frameset, but finding one hasn’t been easy. I’m 200 cm tall with a 92 cm inseam, so it’s not easy to find a suitable fit.

Ideally, I’d like to run 35c tires, but 32c would be okay for an all-road build. My budget is around $500.

I’ve found the following framesets that might work:

- Seraph/Tantan TT-X34 in size 60

- LongTeng LTK-268 in size 58 (the LTK-266 in XXL isn’t available yet)

- LongTeng RD301, which has good tire clearance but might be too short ?

- Carbonda CFR505, which might be a bit pricier (?) but seems to tick all the boxes, the gemeotry seems to be a more on the gravel side

Do you know of any other models that might suit my size for an all-road frameset? Which would you recommend based on your experience?

Many thanks for your help,
Cheers!

I am also searching for a frameset but there is not a lot of choice.

I have found also Yishun R068 with a stack of 611.3.

Thank you for answers !

From the manufacturers I contacted I got the following prices for information :

- TT-X38 : 459 USD + 150 USD shipping
- LTK268 : 380 USD + 140 USD shipping
- RD-301 : 460 USD + 140 USD shipping
- CFR505SL : 660USD + 195 USD shipping

The FM126 seems perfect for indeed ! I contacted Jack because I was concerned the frame may not be manufactured in 61 size.
Here is the answer I got :

Yes. We will do 61cm size. This is really a good model. You should try this one.
We will refund you if we can not make the mold. But we will do that mold definitely.
Please do not worry the money. The money is alwasy safe.

1.95m and 96cm inseam here, my Chinerbuild is a Velobuild VB-R-099 but the stack is on the lower end of what I like it to be.
Also, the frame is old but I believe it has been popular (together with the TanTan TT-X21 and the Long Teng LTK268-D, same frame)

The Carbonda CFR-505 SL is on your list, already. Did you also look at the Hongfu FM238 or the Yishun R068-D?
I also find the LTK266-D-SL interesting, but as you say: XL needs to be made available.

Thank you for your answers !

I contacted Carbonda but they do not have the previous version of the CFR505 in XXL size  :-\

I didn't know Yishun but it looks promising in terms of size, although the clearance is 30mm.

The spcycle G068 looks nice too ! Is the geometry also adapted for road bike ?

LightCarbon got some good choices as well.
https://www.lightcarbon.com/lightcarbon-new-gravel-frameset-with-integrated-handlebar_p170.html
LCG071 (Gravel) got a C-T of 580mm for the biggest size.

Sadly their newest road frame will only be available in max size 580 with a C-T of 530mm...
