Hi all

I want to upgrade my heavy wheels for something lighter and ended up with two different solutions:

• FarSport with ceramic speed bearings integrated.
• 8LIEN with ceramic bearings from S&S integrated.

Both weight similar: Around 1180-1200 gr per wheelset
Prices: $1299 to $1599

Is there somone who already try them out? Any opinion?

FYI: The 8LIEN wheels use the SR270 hub from H-Works, which retails for around $150 USD. While I appreciate many of the options discussed in this forum, I personally lean toward OEM manufacturers like XM Carbonspeed, Zen Carbon, and Taglooa. My current Zen wheels use a hub that I consider more premium than the H-Works SR270, and from experience, I’d say the quality is on par.
I recently sold my Gen 1 Craft CRW 50/60s and replaced them with a set of XM Carbonspeed 50/60s. These new wheels are lighter, more affordable, and have a premium finish that rivals more expensive brands.
Many members here are very knowledgeable about what the Chinese market offers factory-direct, so I encourage others not to dismiss their insights. Like many road riders, I started with brands like Zipp, then moved to Winspace when they released the original carbon-spoked Hyper 50 rim brake wheels, followed by the Craft CRW 50/60s.
Eventually, I discovered the world of OEM manufacturers. If you know what you're looking for, OEMs are the actual factories producing wheels and rims for many well-known brands. There are exceptions—Farsports, for example, doesn’t make all their rims in-house and outsources to OEMs. Brands like ENVE and Lightweight do manufacture their own rims and wheels, but they’re among the few. The majority—including Winspace—outsource at least part of their production.
Bottom line:
If you do your research and listen to experienced riders, you can get a wheelset of equal quality for significantly less money

I totally agree with what you say about quality, that paying more does not mean getting something better. In fact, I think that's something that goes without saying if we are in this type of forum and asking these kinds of questions.

I want the best for the lowest possible price, but in a way that is also fair to the seller.

I forgot to mention that I have the possibility of negotiating B2B prices with dealers, so the prices I get after contacting these companies are considerably lower than the MSRP. Therefore, my focus is on product quality, and there I have to trust those who have already tried them, as I can't be buying a set of wheels every day from a different seller

If your getting cheaper prices to be honest if your going for brand probably Farsports as 8Lien are relatively new.
But I don't think you can go wrong with either

Finally I decided to get a set of wheels from 8lien for a good price. L5W model in black glossy.
Will let you know as soon as I have tested them.

Finally got my 8Lien wheels L5W version with 25mm inner width. They look great and looking forward to test them on the road.
I was a bit unsure about the glossy finishing but they are not that glossy.

Here a quick view on the L5W.

They feel better than my previous wheels (Roval RAPID CL II). For sure lighter, and more stable in down hills due to the wider inner width. This I really enjoy, before in some areas I was not feeling super safe, now I am. BTW I am riding GP5000 30mm with 4.5bar pressure which it makes them up to 31.9mm width.

The only thing I need to get used to was the sound coming out from carbon spokes. If you have tried them in other carbon wheels, you know what I am talking about. It is not bad, it is simply something new to me.

For the person who asked me why not CRW 50/60s, mainly due to two things. I was looking for a less aero profile there and for almost half of the price.
