I know chains are almost always fake, what about other items? i purchased a r7100 52-36 chainring and r7100 cassette i already got the chainring and it seems real just from the markings that would never be seen, still waiting for the cassette

I have bought several Shimano chains on Ali. and have no reason to believe they are fake - either from inspection or after using them. One thing worth noting, I have only purchased chains (and shimano parts) from Ali stores which are Bike shops, not just random stores selling whatever they found that week.
It kind of helps to understand their sales model, they get either directly from Shimano or more likely from bike manufacturers excess parts and chains for manufacturers come bulk as very very long chains and the manufacturer or in this case the store cuts the chain to length - which is why they are frequently sold without a box. My current 11 speed 105, multiple clusters and several chains were all ordered on Ali and after several years of use and abuse are all in good shape and clearly "real"

Would you mind sharing the stores you are referring to sir plz ?
Even though there a good alternatives for chains on AE, having some genuine Shimano's ones is always a good thing !

I have ordered different parts from the following Aliexpress stores and was satisfied that the parts I received appeared to be genuine Shimano and since they have held up over a couple of years of usage they are either incredible copies or far more likely genuine.

anrancee cycling Store ( a bunch of stuff)
DELIC-BIKE Store ( Shimano Ultegra 11 speed cluster and some other stuff)
OK bike Store (105 mechanical shifters/ derailleurs )
JH Outdoor Store (at least 2 different chains / quick links)

No guarantees of course But I would order from them again, and of course there most likely are others which would also be reliable but these are stores I have personally used and was happy with the result.
