I got the power meter.
It's a bit heavy at 668 grams, but that's still okay.
The Magene app works and recognizes it.

Not bad it is advertised as 680g and Magene is advertised as 625g

It weighs exactly 676 grams. I weighed it without the lockring and the preload screw, so 8 grams have been added.
No firmware updates so far.

It looks like the Magene P505. I own the P505 and i'm happy with the powermeter. I got the known left crankarm problem. Since it loosened two times, i lost confidence in it. The Geoid looks like the shimano two bolt clamping system. If i can get it under 200, i will give it a try.

Just pulled the trigger for 169€ inkl. taxes and shipping. Risk seems moderate. If the PM beforms like the 505, i'm very happy.

Is there any Branding on the crankarms? Plain black would be nice. The "PES" on the Magene looks ugly.

I received mine today, not much to say - it’s ok, everything is easy to assemble and works fine, connects with app, cycling computer and mywoosh. I am wondering if pedal smoothness and balance will be available to analyze after the training on Strava for example, or is it only visibile “live” in magene utility app. Looking forward for some pro comparisons how accurate it is. I am wondering if I tightened lockring tight enough- it says 35 Nm although my BB tool is not 44mm so I had to improvise with clamping tool. Question is it possible to add it to one lap fit or only in magene utility? (I already have to much apps for just one bike…)

I have also received mine. Can't say too much since it is cold outside and can't do a full test run on it. Instructions is kind of lacking but you definitely need to zero it before it shows any power number for me. I guess zeroing it is either in the headunit or reverse pedal 5 times (haven't tried and not sure how well it works). There is no "Geoid" app and the Magene app does pair with it but the Magene app seems fairly basic for a power meter app.  Although it does look like a lot of Geoid products uses Magene form factor and software so are they the same?

One issue I did run into might be a compatibility issue. I paired this setup with the Bucklos 52-36T chainring (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008592489369.html) seems like a quite common design from a few other brands too. Not sure if it is the chainline or the thickness of the spider (which I don't think it is) but I do get quite a bit of chain rubbing the big chaining when in the small ring (more than your typical 2 cog). It seems like the spacing between the big and small ring is too narrow. Added a 1mm shim and it seems to work better now (minor rub on the 2 smallesst cog which I shouldn't be using with small chainring)

Yes I think Geoid has to be a sub-brand from magene that allow them to ex étend existing product range Life while the main brand, mageneintroduce new product. If it is, it’s a smart way of doing thing I think.

Is it a proprietary Magene crank interface? Any chance to update the crank arms?

It is an Easton interface. So you can find other cranks

Yep the powermeter is a magene p505, the old one and it's not compatible with other crank. I suggest to buy directly the P515 https://it.aliexpress.com/item/1005005506880823.html so you got the new version

Shouldn't it be the SRAM 3-bolt interface since it uses the Senicx PR3 crank arms?
