Has anyone bought anything like this and what is your experience on the picture quality etc?

I have one very similar to this, but with the light around the end of the unit. Also bought from AliX
It's been great, worked for over a year now. light is decent and the camera footage is pretty good for commuting

Looks interesting and a less expensive option that cycliq and garmin. I wonder if it's actually a radar and camera unit, or just camera?

I've a Ripoon Q100 unit, rear tail light + DV camera.
I got it from
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1767732-REG/ripoon_q100_y_q100_smart_bike_dash.html/?ap=y&ap=y&smp=y&smp=y&store=420&smpm=ba_f2_lar&lsft=BI%3A5451&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=12706497822&gbraid=0AAAAAD7yMh1jEPwOf5aQj5gU3QCzgDQu5&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIkNeuqOz5kAMVKxqtBh06UiK6EAQYBCABEgJonfD_BwE
no stabilization. Good enough as traffic footage evidence. Can last for 3-4 hrs+.
I see I can post a video clip from my last ride.

Yes, it's a usable solution.
