I wonder what other features Seraph and Spcycle will consider on this wide-tire frame. As most of us know, as you go to larger tires, you need to gain more clearance for the chain moving past the tire in its lowest gear. This often drives a wider bottom bracket shell. BSA73 or BB92 (or other wider standard). Then if you go with the wider front chain-line, then you might as well go with a boost rear hub. 148mm. I'd really like to see these features. Better standardization with more common MTB wheels, bottom brackets and crank-sets.
I could go either way regarding the front triangle, top tube being closer to compact geometry, seat post tube angle, BB drop/location being closer to gravel frame geometry.
I would really love it if this frame could handle a 100mm front susp. fork, and be geometry corrected for a 29er fork with 415/420 blades.
Do they go with 34 mm bolt spacing of the post mount brake standard, or the 74mm flat mount. (I prefer 74mm flat mount because I am a heavy rider these days and I want larger brakes with at least 180 rotors, versus the standard 2 piston calipers matched to most gravel brake/shifter sets.)
Lots of detail for them to consider, as gravel bikes and 29er hardtails converge.
I guess it comes down to usage. Will this be a race oriented gravel frame intended for primarily asphalt and gravel roads, or an all-terrain type bike where the rider will ride on gravel and single-track. (For me, my current gravel bike with 42mm tires works really well for most of the gravel grinders I ride, but for some reason many of my gravel rides always seem to end up on a bunch of challenging off-road terrain where I really want/need wider more-forgiving grippy rough surface tires.
