It will be able to run a mechanical groupset through the frame rigt? If i do go ahead with this id be running a 1x.

The mechanical shift and brake cables go through the down tube and exit out right before the BB shell. For the RD cable and rear brake cable, there will be another hole that goes into each chain stay and exits out to the rear triangle.

Gas Cycle is releasing a new variation of their Nitrogen frameset which I've screenshot'ed. This one is aiming right for the upcoming CAAD14 with high seat stays! Also it's been confirmed directly from Gas Cycle that this new variation frame will be UDH. The current 6069 frameset uses an RD hanger that's similar, but not UDH. I really think this company is worth keeping an eye on. They're doing interesting things with alloy and at affordable prices.

On a side note, when I was building my frame I found the head tube and bearing cups to be spot on round. The company posted a video showing that the head tubes are all done robotically!

As of 3 days ago they commented it will be available in the next two weeks.

The only seller on AliEx that has their frames is the Quanqin Bike Store:

They stopped advertising their items for sale in the US, but available in other countries. I messaged them and they said they could do individual orders to the US as long as you contact them. Though prices are bit high for overseas shipping and I bought my frame during the BF sale at a lower price. I'll keep an eye on upcoming sales though. The frame might be available through other websites like Taobao, but I can't confirm.

The new frame has been listed for awhile for those interested. Also the Quanqin Bike Store will ship to the US if you ask them directly, since they stopped listing the US as a shipping destination.

I asked Gas Cycle directly if they'll still make the old Tarmac-like frameset, they said the new frame with high seat stays is the new design. Though Quangin bike store is still selling the old frame for those who want it.

Overall, mine is running great. For a budget beater road bike with modern touches, I have no complaints.

It’s okay, but that’s already close to Allez Sprint frameset pricing (including CA sales tax) and even UCI approved carbon framesets from the likes of ICAN. Plus there’s some touches I like about the Gas Cycle frames that aren’t found in other alloy frames on the market.

Good to know these ride nicely; I had a Twitter C6 and it rode like a plank. Ride quality is always the concern for me with alloy frames

First time poster. Found the new version of the frameset on Ali with the high seat stays and UDH. Got really excited and finding this thread gave me the confidence to send it. Ordered yesterday, with coupons about 240 euros. Shipping I'm told will take 20-45 days. Expecting roughly 80 euros tax.

Got the size L bike, geometry is almost exactly the same as my CAAD12 except for a slightly higher front end (566 mm stack vs 552 mm) and .1 or 0.2 degrees on the seat tube and head tube angles. Planning on building it up quite simple with parts I've already got to keep the cost down while testing. 1x11 Sram rival, cable discs, finishing kit I've got lying around. Should still be quite light without really trying. Will probably strip the frame again and paint the bike if I like the ride feel.
