Received cc700pro in hand today, ordered Wednesday- pretty good from amazon.de to Ireland

So far impressed with a 90€ Colour touch screen bike computer.
Uploaded a few routes/gpx files and keen to try it IRL.
Can upload from Strava but i found handiest is to add gpx files to google drive folder and add that folder as a shared/starred folder.
Search for same folder on phone and pull in routes that way and push to unit.

strangely unit doesn't show up on pc when connected via cable.

now to get silicone case.
ordered a magene c606 case

previous route gpx uploaded from strava etc.
there should be maps already installed for your location,no?

sorry, figured it out as i was in same boat
unit doesnt come with maps installed
you got to manually download them

found what you're after

https://manuals.plus/ae/1005010725526843

Bike Computer Map Downloads: Connect the bike computer to Wi-Fi. Navigate to Settings > File Management, tap the '+' icon, and select the desired map for download.

Europe A  - I imagine in for Ireland
and
Spain - as I am heading to Calpe in April

slow enough download to unit - or maybe its my wifi!

turn BT off on unit to speed up maps DL!

is unit showing up when plugged into computer for anyone?

reached out to geoid got this response

"please use a smartphone Type-C data cable to connect to your computer. The cable included with the product is for charging only and does not support data transfer."

tried a "data" cable and nada also!

Good morning everyone, I have a friend's Geoid CC700 Pro (mine has yet to arrive). When I try to download the map of Italy, it reaches 99% and then gives me a download failed error. The same thing happens with the map of France.
Firmware updated to the latest version.
Has anyone had the same problem?
Bye and thanks

P.S. if i download a little map as San Marino or Switzerland i can download it without troubles

try restarting and redownload maybe?

if possible, break it down to multiple smaller areas rather than one big map? I haven't played around with it so much but i can recall you can download maps either from the unit itself or through the app

The Italian map can't be split and can only be downloaded from the Geoid device, not from the app.
I've tried restarting several times, resetting, factory resetting, etc., but nothing changes. It gets to 99% and then says download failed.

tried ireland and spain and both worked no issues about a month ago.
takes some time even for those!
will try another now.
possibly a note to geoid support.
