last option is winow stem due to being twice the price

avoid the Winow stem, it's incredibly heavy and prone to slipping on the steerer. I'm happy with my Profile Design, it allows routing for Cervelo/3T style top tube entry points.

The second option in aluminum looks great. The only thing is that, depending on the TT setup, it might be necessary to drill two small holes at the top for the Di2 cable routing. However, it is a very simple thing to do.

Are you talking about this specific version ? Because I had the first version (aesthetically different, 1 piece cover from the steerer to the aerobar) and indeed that was the issue. But I think they made this new version to address this specific issue.

received the RIRO one yesterday - pretty quick not the lightest but at least my bars may not slip at start of a race as it did in nationals last year!

Sorry, I cannot find any trace of former listings selling it (except on older BXT tt frame listings, but they don't ship with this stem anymore).
The top cap was 1 part (the new version has 2 caps, one for steerer tube and one for handlebars) and it was creating a misalignment when tightening.
For instance, here https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/1005010624225714.html   you can see 2 different stems. The older one and sometimes, the new one.

issue i have is that i have a boardman elite air tt and front rim brake cable goes through the headset into canti brakes within the fork(i know).

70g lighter also.
i know the latter has more of a neg angle from stem to bars.

It would be a good idea to ask VeloBuild if it works. Since a track bike doesn't have brakes, it doesn't need cable routing.

boardman elite air TT frame needs front brake through stem and rear brake/gearcables through top tube.
i will reach out to velobuild but i have a sneaky feeling it should work.
