Hello Peter, I am excited to see how the aero frameset performs. Hopefully, you saw earlier posts that toxin suggested about the fork area. After the wind tunnel tests, are you going to improve the frameset further or just release the frameset as it is?

Why to do that if the bike is fast ? The mold fee is not cheap.

Ah okay. From the older posts, it sounded like the frame was still in the prototyping or development phase. If the mold is already done, then I guess that is it. Would have been fun to see an iterative design process, but that probably too long and expensive.

looks a lot like an old Rose Endurance or Gravel cockpits.

I have the Rose gravel handlebar and like it a lot. One of the reasons I recommended to make this type of handlebar for the road (and gravel). Mostly I simply think this will be a very big trend for both road and gravel.

Rose has shorter reach, less drop and less rise than the xmcs Rise road bar. The xmcs gravel bar is closer to the Rose, but still 5mm more rise and less stem angle, a bit more drop.

I used to have one on my reveal I hated how it looked.
Maybe I'm missing something but what is the point of doing a negative stem angle and then adding rise?

If you’d use a 0% stem angle your hood section would be quite tilted upwards on most frames.

Yes, the road bars still use -10, but if you want those 3-4mm of extra stack from the stem angle there are the gravel bars with -8.

For people not caring whatsoever about this there still us the regular road bar and for gravel there is the non-rise option too.

So trying to facilitate most preferences.

I think with this line-up of 4 handlebars xmcs has a nice range and flexibility in any case. Feedback we’re getting on the handlebars is also pretty much positive.

That's right, but where is the problem, especially if it might even offer better aerodynamics?
At least from a Netherland's standpoint (where you are from Tim) with Jan-Willem van Schip running a steep upward stem both road and track and this guy knows something about areodynamics this might be seen more often in the future.

That does not make sense to me. how is it the same? The only benefit I see to these rised drops with a negative stem is that the sizing remains more or less close to your standard cockpit whilst a positively angled "stem" would give you less reach for the same length

Yep, that definitely helps.

But what is then the benefit of a positive stem for you?
