I am just going through the process of ordering the GRT, road aero rise bar and gravel wheels with Peter.  I will be running Sram 1x XPLR and would welcome some recommendations please on a lightish but reliable bottom bracket. TIA, Bob

So far pretty satisfied with the Bikone steel bearings. Was not happy with Bbinfinite, one very rainy ride killed the bearings.

Also happy with the Ceramicspeed ones, but quite expensive.

Tim (not Tom), are the bikone the external t47 dub? Not the 47a which i think are internal. So  much choice and so confusing.

GRT only 11 watt slower at 35 km/h than the VRT with same wheels/tires. Factoring in 38 handlebar vs 34, it’s really good

Tested with my Gibli aero sensor today. 0.301 vs 0.281 CdA. GRT in road spec with the 65mm wheels and Pirelli SLR ties 28c weighed 7.4kg including pedals. Not bad at all 👌.

Really interested about the frame and I'm exploring paintjob/decals option as I want this frame to really feel personal. Do you know what is possible to be done from factory ?

I have searched but cannot find anything about how may storage bags come with the frame for the internal storage or the dimensions of the bag/s. Does anyone know before i ask Peter?

Well, to answer my own question the frameset does not come with internal storage bags and it seems they are not available. I do not know the internal dimensions so difficult know sising and sourcing elsewhere. Anyone encountered this with the other framset providers and how you got around it?

edit-I have sourcerd 2  tideace bags off Ali. You can get them for between $6 and $11. They may not be the ideal sise but hopefully, if not, Peter will produce/source them soon.

@requiem84-can you please measure how much space/maximum sise for an electric pump in the internal storage? I need to know if mine will fit and if not siurce a smaller one. Cheers.

After reading the topic about the new aero gravel bike, I was really happy to see that.

As a Dutchman, I am now looking for a gravel frame that can handle 57mm. That way, a 60mm beach tire will also fit.

There is no better geometry for beach races. With converted MTB frames, the stack heights are always way too high.

Now I see the price; it is absurdly high, almost 2k, and that's knowing it can only handle 1 x 46t.
I am curious when the updated version will come out that can handle a max of 52/54t.
Sometimes speeds of 65 km/h are reached for kilometers on beach races, so 46t is way too small.

Hopefully, I will still be surprised.

You can always move the chainline out to run a bigger ring, which might also improve efficiency for beach racing if you don't spend much time in the larger cogs

good news! their official website says...
"Current frame takes 1x 46T only, we are trying to update it fitting with 1x48T or 50T if possible, if you don't take 46T, please wait for updated version".

I really want to finally have my racing bike for the next season. What i also like is so many options for handle bars, which makes bike fitting so much easier.

Does anybody know if there is some frame protection on the down tube of the frame, and is it possible to mount an additional bottle cage there

As a fellow Dutchmen, I am surprised you are surprised. From the beachracing scene I hear Tim Merlier and Dupont are winning races on a 46T?

Prices have been known and communicated for months, not sure what you missed.
