To be honest, i wish that was the case, then i wouldn't need to be on here bitching about how crap the product is. Last carbon wheelset was around 1.5k and still haven't died after 8yrs.  Is the market accepting of riding wheels that will catastrophically fail if hit by a crack in the road or a pebble? inflated with a digi pump each ride, tubed and with wider tyres than the external rim width. I guess that is why the price is low as they don't batch test regularly. anyone know who the rim manufacturer is?

UPDATE: Kore replied saying the factory only tests for 'Radial static loading' and Lateral Rigidity' sounds like they skip on the impact resistance test.

I didn't post about my personal experience with my sets.

But I cracked both wheels off my first cyclone wheelset on two huge potholes in the same ride at different times.

I thought nothing of it has I didn't flat and wheels stayed true.

It was not perfect dealing with CS but I'd still give it a 4.5/5 as I also thought that I had only broken 1 wheel so reached out on two different occassion to them for the cracks.

They only charged me delivery fee's for my replacement and have since done over 4000 km on the second set with no issue.

AliExpress, Temu, Ozon, and eBay are all official direct-sales channels operated by KORE.

At the moment, KORE wheelsets have not been authorized to any other third-party stores or sellers.

So if you purchase from these official channels, you can contact the seller directly for after-sales support or accessories.

My KORE Cyclone CRACKED after 500km of road riding.

never flatted, 31-32mm tyres, always on-road, 85kg and with tubes. Sent images to KORE and they blamed the crack from a rock strike. They also rested on their 2000 sales and said they test EVERY wheel for safety (what ever that means?) Told me to buy a new rim and build it back up myself. First of all, based on the photos and information provided, we can confirm that the damage on this wheel appears to have been caused by an external impact or a serious collision, rather than a manufacturing defect.

We would also like to clarify that we have never refused responsibility or ignored customer concerns. Before every wheelset leaves our factory, it goes through three separate inspection procedures to ensure that it meets our quality standards. We do not ship wheels with known defects or quality issues.

Regarding the testing process mentioned in the discussion, we do have comprehensive inspection procedures for our wheelsets, including structural and performance checks before shipping. You can see some examples of our inspection process here:

Just wanted to share a disappointing experience with KORE’s Zoom Store on AliExpress.

I bought a Titan 50 gravel wheelset through the AliExpress Trial section at the price offered to me there and paid for the order normally.

Shortly afterwards, Zoom Store asked me to cancel because the wheelset was supposedly out of stock. A little later the same wheelset was available again, so I asked them about it.

They then admitted that the actual problem was the price:

“At this discounted price, I can't even buy two rims.”

and later:

“It was my mistake, I'm sorry, but I can't ship the item to you.”

I’m not asking KORE for any additional discount. I simply bought the product through an AliExpress promotion at the price AliExpress offered me, and I would expect the order to be honoured.

I have refused to cancel the order from my side and AliExpress has now escalated the case to senior support.

Since @KORECycling has previously confirmed here that Zoom and the other AliExpress/Temu/eBay stores are KORE’s own sales channels rather than third-party sellers, I thought this was worth sharing in the KORE thread.

Hopefully KORE can look into what happened here. I was actually quite excited to try the Titan 50, so this has been a pretty disappointing first experience with the brand.

I’ll update the thread once I hear back from AliExpress.

I agree, you can't test every wheel for impact without subjecting it to an impact. Then I wouldn't want to buy a wheel that has already been impacted by a 200lb weight dropped on it.

I also agree that the photos show that the damage is due to impact with something. I don't think any manufacturer will warranty a rim due to impact. Some may offer crash discount, but many don't.
