Are there any frameless options? Or ones without the top frame?

I purchased a pair of kapvoe prescription sunglasses from firmoo for A$155 (US$110) delivered and it's been excellent. The prescription is spot on and there is no distortion. The polarized lens are night and day difference and I'll never go back to non polarized. I liked them so much I purchased another pair.

I took a gamble buying these. Got them a few weeks ago. They work fine. I'm satisfied.

KAPVOE has these glasses on Alix https://it.aliexpress.com/item/1005012349268862.html. They're not prescription, but they allow you to wear your glasses under the sunglasses. They look a little bulky, but they're definitely affordable.

Just to clarify: this is not a prescription clip-in but the actual glass that has been modified?
Do you have astigmatism?

Exactly, it's what they call a one piece prescription lens. I've been using prescription inserts for over a decade and I will never go back. No more foggy and dirty double lens. The ones from firmoo have vents in the lens which I prefer as it aids clearing the lens from fog, humidity etc.

Yes I do have astigmatism.

Wow. That’s an insane deal then. I bought Julbo „one piece“ prescription cycling glasses for >580 EUR last year due to a lack of equivalent (!) alternatives. They’re fantastic, light, but you can see that the prescription part is actually only in the middle of the glasses, the rest is normal glass (but it’s still only one glass layer, they kinda mold the prescription part and the normal part together I guess). I understand from the shop that sold me these glasses that the reason for this is that if all of the glass would be corrected, it could create distortions especially in the areas further away from your eye when looking through them.

Do you have any such distortions with your model if you’re being honest? Or is the vision always perfect with yours even when you look through the outer parts of the glasses?

I love my julbos, but now I am very curious about the Firmoo offer.

Whoa, this is awesome, thanks for posting! I'm very tempted to try a pair. A photochromic set would be cool as it would allow for both day and night rides without the faff of contact lenses (though I will still wear them for most rides, having to put them on if I want to go for a spin for an hour is really annoying - and I hate riding in normal glasses)

I've tried many cycling sunglasses with Rx inserts before, and eventually got fed up because I had to replace the prescription lenses almost every year. That’s when I decided it was time to get LASIK—and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Now I can wear any type of cycling glasses and actually enjoy riding, whether I have them on or not.

If it's an option for you, LASIK is the way to go, in my opinion.

I'm looking straight ahead 99% of the time, even when I look to the side, I'm turning my head. I went out for a ride earlier today and purposely looked through the sides and I didn't notice any distortions at all.

I'm no expert but it appears the prescription part is the full lens. Actually its 2 large lens joined together in the middle. How obvious is the cutout for the prescription part on your glasses because I can't see them on mine. Take a look at the photos I took and judge for yourself. The ends of the lens are quite thick but I've been told by optometrists that this is normal when it comes to curved/wrap around prescription lens and is not necessarily linked to your prescription (I'm -2.25).

The non prescription frame can be bought on AliExpress for $15-$20 but I was really surprised how comfortable and sturdy they were. Much more comfortable than my oakley jawbreakers that I was using prior.
