Mondince Frame with 57mm tire clearance

I was speaking with Mondince (Jack) and he said they are about to start production on a new gravel frame with 57mm tire clearance and he shared the geometry which I’ll attach. It looks very promising for what I am looking for. First mold will be 54cm.

For a moment I was regretting ordering FM336, but looking at the geo, it just doesn´t make sense for 57mm tires.
The frameset looked vaguely familiar. It´s not perfect copy but definitely inspired by Cannondale SuperX, which also BXT 055 is based on.

Stack and reach fit together for a relatively short frame. I'm more surprised about the BB drop of 69mm only. That's less drop than the average road racing frame and pretty much CX like - very gravel unlike.

Nice catch. Geometry is very similar to the 54cm SuperX. Wondering why you don’t think it makes sense for larger tires?

A bit steeper seat tube 74 - 74.5 deg. Shorter chainstay (425mm max), 80mm BB-drop and then possibly a bit longer front center to still keep same top tube length. And possibly a few degrees steeper head tube. Then it would be perfect.
Shorter chainstay and BB-drop is the only things i think is needed, the other ones would be just a bonus 😎

Short chainstay and 57mm tires don't fit with road standard bottom brackets. You'd need to use MTB crank/axle with it's wider chain line.

I have to correct what I wrote. Fara G4 has 425mm rear center, 80 mm bb drop and tire clearance of 57mm/2.2"
So so wide tires are doable with a relatively short chain stay. 1x only, OC. At least I haven't read that the G4 requires Dub Wide axle.

Didn't see that high bottom bracket, that is surely something they need to fix.. BB drop should be better of at least around 78-80mm on this frame.

I would like to see geometry more like this attached drawing instead.

I like this one..
For me the 425--->435mm 1cm difference doesn't affect my riding.
Stack and reach figures nice too .
And 57mm clearance meaning I could fit the 2.35 speed pros there.
I will order this as soon as it is possible.

Also, when comparing other 54 frame ( 382 reach ) I don't think there is any mistake
This one has 376.. so only 6mm difference .

382 is small for a 54 frame - I'd expect above 385, not 376.

The stack is already huge - and you can't expect someone of average height e.g. 175-180cm to use a 140mm stem. Sizing up will make it uncomfortable due to the reduced seatpost. Frames should be coming forwards and longer and seatposts more steep to allow people to ride faster.

Well... an SL8 (Road racing frame ) size 54 has 384mm. A gravel should be shorter... So i think 376 is just fine.
But yes, BB drop schould be bigger when mounting fat tires
