It is clearly the Endurance frame. The "wind eyes" are different between the frames, easy to differentiate. He must have misspoken.

I wish it were the new LCG072 frame too. But it just isn’t. It’s the LCR018 frame. Take a look at both frames in the LightCarbon catalogue. The transition from the top tube to the seat tube, the thickness of the seat tube, the small wings at the fork ends, the absence of a Speedsniffer and the shape of the rear triangle all clearly point to the 018.
Sorry mate, I’m also hoping for a proper release of the 072.

Yes, both the frameset and cutout frame he's displaying are the LCR018 endurance/allroad model, but he's wrongly quoting the specs of this new "aero gravel" frame, which according to LC is not even ready yet...

I inquired and was told 2 months. Full bike on display at eurobike. 50mm clearance, hoped for 52-54 but ill take it.
Also LCR73 which appears very similar but without the seattube holes

No idea what to think about the seattube holes, they do look good, but do they serve any purposes other than that?
(they are for sure popular atm, seka, bxt-055, mondince aero gravel, new tantan gravel)

yup. i think the holes are claimed to be more aero but i dont really care ifthey are not, i like the looks. seems like they are letting me preorder so i might get it at release

If you do so, I will read your review with great interest, as this might be my next build as well!
I still dont know what to think about the holes, but the rest of the bike is quite stunning I have to admit. LC is offering some serious options in 2026, both on the road and on the mud.

Hmm the frame sizes are pretty small based on the 2026-2027 LC Catalog; bit concerned that the XL size might be too small. My current gravel bike is a 56cm but LC XL is 53.6cm… I’m 194cm tall. Any thoughts ?

So it's the same frame without the "wind eye". I am guessing they use the same moulds for both, so you can ask for no wind eye, like you can ask for no frame storage?
With the 73 version I imagine you save a bit of weight, easier to clean and more compliant rear end.

I think the 73 ist the version they offer to b2b customers while the 72 is b2c. They have a 019d that doesn’t show up in their public catalogue that is like the 018d without the windeye that showed up in an extended catalogue. Asking probably doesn’t hurt.
